Steven Taylor. I remember thinking back in 2006 that he could really be a big deal. England Squad inclusion, decent performances and a local lad to boot. Sadly though, injuries and very poor form have made him the new Shola. It's time to call-in #27 and wish him all the very best of luck with staying fit and not playing like a Sunday morning CB.
It's great that he loves the club and all that but the only reason anyone thought he was in the slightest bit decent was because he was sh*t. He was young and fit enough to come flying back from his horrible positioning to make a spectacular block or something. Good for the camera in that moment but in fact he was only in that situation because he is rubbish in the first place.
Confirmed today he will be leaving at the end of his contract. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20160603/steven-taylor-leaves-united_2281670_5620393 Personally love the guy as he is a joker - his football ability unfortunately match this moniker. Good luck to him where ever he goes, would imagine he will end up at Boro to be honest - can't see him wanting to move to far from home.
Can't say i'm too upset to see Taylor leaving, people say he's been a good servant (search hard enough and i'm sure someone will have said it) but when you look at how much of a living he has leached out of this club I think it is best to get rid of him. Hi btw, i've been registered here for ages but rarely post.
Agree with most of this. Saylor was promising and then he was still promising...and then he was still ... Wouldn't slag him off though as he was a genuine 100% trier. A bit like Willo in one sense. Limited in ability ( in relative terms ) and never quite PL standard but always tried and for that I will always like him.
