I am not best pleased of the appointment and cant understand why we would replace Guido with someone of this calibre. That said in the last 6 games he has had 2 wins 2 draws and 1 loss and they are currently 5th in the league. Total for the season so far in the league: Played 11 lost 2 so not sure where you get your stats from Phil

Me too Bapp, I got all my stats wrong.

I'm not worried Guidolin has gone though because, imo, I felt his performance as manager weren't up to the standards we required but it was an opinion based on observation.

I have, rather unfairly been bagging Bradley before I'd even heard him speak. I let my frustrations from last season and this get the better of me I think.

If anyone wants to get a better picture of Bradley then go to norfolkswans thread BOB BRADLEY
and in it go to Swanees post #48 and watch the documentary about him as I did.

After watching I thought that he seemed to be a decent sort of guy. So, I'm going to let the team kick the ball around for a couple of games and see how we play, then make my mind up......again.

They had a win last night which altered the stats and table position, but you can check my link below, it has now changed, but at the time of posting that's what the site showed.

Having watched that video, there is no doubt he has the character and purpose, which is a big plus, but I'm not sure how technically good he is, and I still consider him to be a big gamble, clearly across the pond he's the chosen one, we'll see!............<ok>

That was a couple of weeks ago with the 5 teams above them on 1 pt more, they have still only lost 2 all season (not that I want to be picky and certainly dont want to make an issue of it as it is still only the French Ligue 2 :emoticon-0100-smile).
I have to agree with most though not enamoured about him and really feel this was jobs for the boys and more of a commercial decision rather than a football one. Personally would have preferred Paul Clement or Giggs both having miles more experience in more competitive leagues than YankeeBOB

I am determined to be positive over this, even though yesterday when this was announced could have just jumped out the bedroom window. As with all appointments the british so called pundits are up in arms as we haven't given a british manager a job and the yank ones are saying he will do well. So it is over to Bob and lets see what he does. Maybe just maybe he is as good as he thinks he is then again he could be a complete clown and gone by xmas. I will wait and see how he gets us playing then I will make my judgement. I just hope it is for the better.

TLF - having slept on it (and putting to one side the manner of Guidolin's departure), in some respects I'm probably "happier" the day after Bob's appointment than I was the day after Guidolin's.

For one, I'd heard of Bob & his earlier (International) achievements prior to his appointment - can't say I'd heard of Francesco - and secondly, I'm sure that the Yanks will back Bob financially to (help) retain our PL status. The depreciation in the value of their investment would be colossal if we were to be relegated.

Additionally, many on here (myself included) had concerns over whether Guidolin's tactics, safety-first/negative approach etc would be good enough to save us this season - on that basis, a change of Manager may give us the lift we need.

Whilst, I don't think Bob was the Preferred Candidate of anyone on this Forum (again, myself included), he is now the Manager & he will have my support.

Well I must have missed that it was showing out of date stats then, my mistake, but I was not the only one as there were twitter comments stating that he had not won a game since August 5th, which is why I pulled that link up that was showing what it was, I didn't spend much time analysing either, maybe I should have, in my defence, I've never claimed infallibility!!.Sorry Bob..............<laugh>

Saw this as well seems some think he is good. Looking for all the good news stories I can,

    http://fansided.com/2016/10/04/bob-bradley-american-swansea-manager-premier-league/

By the way is or has there been anything from Hj or Bradley yet r is there any unveiling planned. Was listening to Jim White on Talk sport today and said he has never heard HJ be so quiet as he speaks with him on a regular basis and has heard nothing. I wonder whether he could be the next casualty.

What investment? They sold Williams,Ayew and Shelvey and spent £15,000,000 that extra money went to pay off Morgan and Jenkins anybody could have bought the club with that deal. That is why they were running all over the world trying to get a manager to cut a deal before the new season kicked off. When the whole petty thing was going on it was Mel Nurse who put his neck on the block for the Swans the rest got lucky. Sure they did well getting the club promoted but when the Sky money rolled in they were always desperate for a way out. And now we have to face the truth we have two guys in charge who have risked nothing, will play at club owners (bring in their own man) and if it all goes wrong can walk away with a few million in their back pocket.

They paid a massive amount to buy the shares from Katzen, Lineen, Davies et al. They bought 68% of a Club/Company that was valued at £110m. That's a huge investment which came out of their own private resources.

If the Club gets relegated, how much do you think it will be worth?

We think it's important to acknowledge and show our respect to all those original shareholders who helped rescue the club and invested in their community, not to make a quick return, but to save something they loved, something that was so important to Swansea.
We are absolutely delighted some of these original shareholders have decided to continue as owners and will be our partners. Of course, Huw Jenkins and Leigh Dineen will be key members of our management team going forward.
We also want to acknowledge the Supporters' Trust which will remain a significant shareholder in the club. We have reached out to the Supporters’ Trust and met with them on many occasions and we look forward to working with them as our partners in helping to move the club forward.
In that regard, we plan to work with the Trust as our partners in determining the best path to expand and improve the fan experience at the Liberty Stadium.

All Lies they did not even consult the trust.

Ok that is 75 million take away the 31 million leaves 44 million with 100 million from sky easily funded deal ( look at the Glasers deal at Man United) then hope for the best! no investment and another season in the Prem. And that is at the published figures who pays top dollar on a club that just posted a loss? They could easily walk away with a few million next year and leave the club in the lurch. But wait you say that has never happened before!

'When I do go to football, I leave at halftime. By then you can see which way it's going. And they close the roads and all that business. I don't want to be delayed for an hour afterwards. I don't stay to have a drink with other directors. I've got nothing to say to them. I don't know what they are talking about.

'Actually if you ask me to name five of our team, I couldn't. There is that guy who scores goals for us - and. (Wayne) Routledge I've heard of. They're all bloody nice guys, but I don't mix with them so I don't know them well.

'The important thing is that they all know what they've got to do.'

    Anyone know who said that?

The Glazers funded the acquisition by taking out loans against the assets of Man Utd, and then lending the money to the acquisition vehicle they had used to purchase the business.

What evidence do you have that this was their modus operandi?

The filing of the Club's accounts in Companies House will (hopefully) clarify the cause of the Loss that Huw talked of recently.
