they will have a bit of cash now from CL so may try to extract more money than he is worth. we will see. I'm not going to piss on the guy cos he's playing in scotland given southampton have raided them for wanyama, van dijk and forester. I don't know he's what we need though.
He'll be used as a Mane replacement while on ACoN and his backup when he returns.. The boys got bundles of pace, a trick and an eye for goal, 10m+10m in add'ons, he could prove to be a bargain at that price! Or.. we may not be interested in him at all... Like you mentioned, if we want a player or two, then I hope deal is as good as done already and they can come in at the start of the Window.. Given our fixture list in Jan and Mane's absence, I don't want to be waiting towards the end of the Window in order to seal the deal for players Klopp wants.
Well... if ayre is out of it and mr moneyball is in this guy could be his first vanity buy for all i know. Every signing imo is back to the did the manager pick this guy or edwards.
There was too much made of the "Transfer Committee" (TC) IMHO.. Coutinho, Firmino, Can, Suarez, Sturridge (maybe even Hendo) were TC buys, they ain't/weren't that bad! Sakho too was decent before he went, to quote Tropic Thunder "Full bellend!" Yes, there are a few duffs, Ilori, Markovic, and Moreno (still holding out hope he'll come good). Luis Alberto, didn't settle but we got our money back on him.. So, more hit than miss and the players that have been a hit are proving to be money well spent. The setup is simple, Klopp tells the Director of Football the type of player he wants, DoF then works with his scouts to get info on these players, scouts report back to DoF, he takes it to Klopp, if they like what they see, then they start negotiations with the club and player, only after Klopp as had the final say on the matter. Not rocket science, but it does help having this process driven by someone like Klopp! Not having a go at BRodge, but this model is something the foreign coaches are used to and comfortable with.
sure as long as michael edwards is not on an ego trip that he's got all the say cos frankly zorc in dortmund wouldn't do that and no germans would accept vanity buys over there We've seen lots and lots of guys at anfield buying players to suit themselves and egoand the club keeps on paying for it. As you can tell i don't rate edwards AT ALL
so one month before the transfer window. Brace yourselves....we're going to be linked with any form player and more. It's already cranking up...
False news is all the rage nowadays.. Let me be first to confirm that I'll be having my medical shortly.. and will be signing a 10 year deal on Jan 1st..
Clever of Celtic to t was more referring to growing up with everyone supporting Rangers than the politics! Still feel an illogical sort of bias towards them PS - Odegaard played pretty well for Madrid on his full debut. Maybe not such a bad choice... but we will see
2 Dec 2016 Transfer Update: Liverpool still pushing to sign €30m 'diamond' who played with Firmino. Offer made already 12/02/2016 05:43:00 am | Jaimie K Liverpool continue to be linked with one of Germany's most promising defenders. According to The Mirror this week, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton are still tracking Hoffenheim defender Niklas Sule, and Eurosport further claims: "Niklas Süle will probably leave Hoffenheim. Keeping him the summer is extremely unlikely, and the chances are good that he'll leave the club for a record fee, just like Roberto Firmino". Over the summer, Sule reportedly 'refused offers' from Liverpool, Dortmund, and AC Milan, and when asked why rejected the chance to sign for a big European club, he explained: "I need a familiar environment, and I have to constantly play at my level even further". €30m-rated Sule - who played alongside Firmino between 2013 and 2015 - probably feared that he'd spend most of time on the bench at the aforementioned clubs. At Liverpool, for example, the addition of Sule would've given Klopp the following options at centre-back: * Lovren, Klavan, Matip, Lucas, Sule, Ilori, Sakho. In a year with a reduced fixture list, this is arguably too much competition for an inexperienced 20-year old. That said, perhaps Klopp's plan then (and possibly now) is to ultimately jettison Lovren and pair Matip with a younger defender?
Sule is really talented but he's slow. For £30m, I think we could get someone like Tah who is arguably better. And a little more, we would get VDV.
He score a few goals yes but i would not have called it an impressive midfield showing in any game. he looks tidy but i don't think he knows the systems or has the experience of having to be disciplined... his team was so far advanced of any rival they won the league in a canter. He just has a lot to learn. My advice is give him time and certain people should stop making him out to be a world beater.. its the same advice i would give to utd fans on pogba.
