For all the s*** Everitt got in the latest VOTV(which I have not read), it appears people owe him an apology.
It was not news to me. Mundell on ITTV pointed out as soon as ESI put a statement on the CAFC website, that the wording srongly implied that it was only the 'Club' that ESI had bought (the badge, buildings, staff etc.) and not the land that the Valley or Sparrows Lane facilities are built on. These still belong to CAFC Holdings / Baton 2010 - owned by Duchatelet. I was outraged, but I have since calmed down. Duchatelet still having any connection whatsoever with Charlton Athletic is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE to me. I will never ignore it or tolerate it. And RD owning the land is a whopping great connection too, not a trivial one. But my view now is that it's a matter of priorities; Priority 1: Get the transfer window deals done, and save Charlton's Championship status. Priority 2: Make sure ESI keep their word and buy the land, as soon as possible. And never let them off the hook until it is done. If ESI do not buy the land from Duchatelet during this summer I will seriously consider not renewing my season ticket, and beginning a boycott until RD is 100% gone.
Once again Everitt has called it right about ESI and gang, particularly peanut head. He got absolute pelters for his piece in the VOTV before we were taken over. "Ricky Everitt's red n white army".
