Seems like it'll be 4 2 3 1... Vs Bournemouth and Sheff United we did look good,so it's probably down to the fixture congestion that we fell apart after... Thats the issue for me.. He hasn't got the ability to rotate at lb, rb, cm or striker without a serious drop in the players ability... This leads Bruce to keep throwing them out until they're knackered...
I think the 4-2-3-1 will suit Wilson and if we have Fraser on the opposite wing to ASM there will be service there for him. With these kind of signings - I'm critical of him - but I'd have love to have seen Rafa with a 20m striker (not Rondon who's no better than Mitovic) leading the line. If we can get a solid and settled back 4 together (which Rafa would have undoubtedly managed) and drill them well I think Wilson, with ASM Miggy and another behind him, will bag 12-15 goals this term. Just need to keep them out at the other end.... After a **** show of a summer if we can get Fraser in I'd be very happy going into the year.
I see Shearer had a word with Wilson which sealed the deal. Shearer being the touch of class he is, already had a good relationship with Wilson because he rang him personally when he got his first national call up. I wonder who was behind that eh, Bruce and Shearer being big muckers. Smart move.
Your negotiators have been fooled by the smoke and mirrors deployed by Aston Villa. I doubt that Villa had any intention of buying Wilson, instead I reckon Villa's real target is Brentfords Ollie Watkins,a player that the Villa manager knows from his time as Brentfords manager. He was second to Mitrovic as the championships top scorers and at 24 he is open to real improvement,he reminds me of one of your old boys a certain Andy Cole,he is not renowned for spectacular goals, but inside the box he is lethal. So,what have Newcastle bought? Well he is a player that has had serious injury issues.During season 2015/6 he suffered a serious cruciate ligament rupture he was out for 260 days and he missed 30 games. season 2016/7 he suffered the same injury, out for 189 days and he missed 25 games, and during season 2018/9 a knee injury meant he was out for 49 days and missed 8 games. I hope that his injury problems are behind him and that he will score plenty of goals for you- but not against us - if only to shove it up Villas derriere. Without Villa's morally bankrupt behaviour he is a player you perhaps could have got for between 15/18 mil and for a player that cost 3 mil would still have shown Bournemouth a decent profit!
You can bet he's played his last game for England BTW as long as the highly overrated Southgate is conning the public
This kind of micro analysis is what the problem is with millennial ****s You telling me Mbappe doesn’t cross a football to his teammates during a game ok Welshie
Just sayin, if ye wanna sign Mbappe to be a traditional English winger crossing square balls onto someones head... Well, you're more Bruce than Jose is what im saying Dumbass
Villa buy Watkins for 33 million.. Makes sense now... They weren't that keen and Wilson wanted to come here
The early optimism around our transfer business is diminishing as we slowly realise: - We're spending less than Leeds, Villa, Everton and West Brom - Will almost certainly end up spending less than WetSpam, Brighton and more - We're spending the same amount of money we had in Jan... - ...which means we've managed to create **** all additional income in spite of PL payments for placement and TV, plus a renewed year deal with Puma and longer deal with Fun88. All of a sudden the "wow, aren't things different" are actually replaced with "yet another season under Ashley".
Yes its at that stage.. Basically it's at this point looking like they've simply done it all in a couple of days rather than 1 here then 1 a few weeks later and so on. it's exactly the same ****e just a short sharp dose...... If there evidence of a further hit then it'll be different....
33mil is an obscene amount to pay for a player who has yet to experience top level football. I imagine that they see him as a foil for Grealish - if however Grealish leaves he may find scoring difficult. As you say I hope it does not pay off I detest Villa with a passion.
