What the first ever manager and chairman to get us in the Premier League in our under whelming history? Cannot think of anything worse. I prefared it under Dolan and Fish. Those were the days. Low expectations and we knew our place.
If the Duff one is the face of this consortium, lets hope that those behind him have more money and sense than Bartlett. And even if this consortium has any substance behind it, who says Allam will sell to them? Allam's have many faults - but they seem genuine in only being willing to sell to someone who will be good for the future of the club
PD has been a guest of AA a few times at the kc! So there could be something in it? But like has been said, let's just hope his mates have plenty dosh?
AA said on the BBC he would take £2m............plus what he is owed, which I would suggest is open to debate and a fair bit of wheeling and dealing. How much do you think the club is worth? Taking into consideration the parachute payments.
Jeez don't even joke about that. If Tony Warner's Face sees that he'd be apoplectic! In fact, for him that would be an oxymoron. I am surprised that TWF hasn't commented on the possibility of Duffen return!
The parachute payments are irrelevant, they only just cover the wages. In fact, if we don't get promoted this season or next, we'll either have to get rid of all our high earners or someone's going to have to start throwing money at it again. On paper, the club is only worth what could be raised through player sales, as the club has almost no other assets and that would be about half what Allam is looking for. Normal business valuations seem to go out the window when it comes to football clubs, but it's going to take someone taking one hell of a punt on us achieving an immediate return to the Premier League, for us to get anywhere near Allam's valuation.
Cannot see it happening for 1 minute, the Allams have always said they will only sell it for the good of the city etc... to the 'right' people. Duffen took us into financial melt down even getting his own assets frozen by the courts because of his wrong doings and very dodgy agent payments. Didnt have to look far first one i found on google) but does this bring back any memories of the situation............. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...court-battle-lifts-lid-deals-ex-chairman.html
There are loads of people just loads who want it, inside the City and outside. The Allams just got lucky last time. Well now is their chance.
Iv heard it's this guy, Loïc Fery a high flyer in London, stock exchange wizz , hedge fund Multi Millionaire , owns a Club in France also.
