Migs will go. Not sure about Lovren, he's been getting game time and he was injured for a big part of the season too so he'll believe he's first team. Origi's been a good impact player recently and he's still young, can't see him going anywhere.
mings has said he wants to go I think, but it's hard to tell what's true these days. Matip was going 4/5 months ago but who knows. cannot see Lovren go. has got it too good. clyne gone, Moreno going. that's an entire Europa league final back 5 right there whos coming through is the question. Lewis, ki (only 17)... i dont think the other kids are up to it.. so i reckon we might just see one more year for.milner waiting for ki. cb is unknown. mings.might go but then Kelleher and a couple.other young keepers want a chance. origi new contract? if that happens we know the score.. brewster too. I can only see one forward coming in who can play anywhere. there's not really a vvd, alisson, Keita ironed on link bar werner.
Matip ha amass hinself first choice alongside vvd so hope he doesn’t go. Lovren I doubt will go, maybe after next year if he’s behind Gomez and Matip all season. I hope mikner stays, but I agree I think if Leeds go up he might have had a discussion to say he’d like to go back there. Shame as he really is a solid 7/10 for us and can be trusted. Cover at full backs is a must, another attacking player to play across the front 3 (someone like Werner) and a feline type who can be creative from midfield. Other than that don’t see need to change much else. Obviosly if mig goes then need cover there and same if origi and Sturridge go, may need extra body. Possibly Wilson could step up?
Rhian Brewster will feature next season. Klopp said he would be part of the first team this season if he wasn't injured. Thats still only a backup option, Werner is still the big rumoured target.
Milner to Leeds if they get promoted. We are after Pepe from Lyon to replace Sturridge. Werner will stay in Germany. No new CB as we have Gomez, VVD, Matip & Lovren. Messi will not be signed!
I won't mind Matip going tbh, don't rate him. I think Gomez (clearly) and Lovren (yep) are better options. Camacho best get ****ed off, the little ****.
Bayern have spent big (£68m) already on some LB, have much more can they spend? Bayern want Hundson Odoi, but will he leave or go somewhere else? Timo Werner is definitely off this summer, between us and Bayern it would seem. Julian Brandt is most likely off this summer, we picked Salah over him before and may still be interested, but he is German so Bayern are linked.
Harsh on Matip. I think he’s come in and covered for Gomez very well. For me, Gomez and Matip are miles ahead of Lovren. However, all 3 are injury prone so I wouldn’t be against signing another defender and selling Lovren.
Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Lille as they look to pip their Premier League rivals to the signing of striker Nicolas Pepe. It was claimed last week that Chelsea were ready to splash £70million on the 23-year-old after identifying him as their No. 1 target to replace Eden Hazard, who could move to Real Madrid. But now reports in France suggest Liverpool have stolen a march in the race for Pepe's signature by asking Lille about his availability.
He was very hit and miss but since he’s come back in for Lovren I think he’s been brilliant. Obviously alongside vvd helps but he was motm yesterday and he brings the ball out of defence very well, even better and more so than vvd which opens up space as forces a misfiekder to come out to him and frees someone else up to receive a pass.
for me as a sometimes defender of Matip I think being fit and playing week in week out helps players.
I think Matip has done an excellent job for us this season. He was 4th choice and out of the picture until our CB injury crisis.
