He has stated the UK should leave the EU and there would be many opportunities for the UK striking out on its own.
That's not what his latest remarks relate to though is it? Carney the current Governor has the converse view to him btw.
Carney has already apologised he got his Brexit post referendum doom monger comments all wrong. He'll be long gone when Brexit proves a success.
Indeed He certainly will be long gone-as will the rest of us. Hell will freeze over before Brexit is a success, judging by the shambles the present govt. is making of it. Why do they think that antagonising the very people they need help from will help the UK. Perhaps we should send a gunboat like we used to go in the days that all the Brexiteers hark back to.

We could really do with this chap in charge, he has clear strong views which mirror the referendum result. 'No one thinks I'm a credible candidate'Jacob Rees-Mogg rules out being next Tory leader - and says Britain shouldn't pay the EU 'a brass farthing'
Interesting that the Torygraph linked Brexit to the Michael Fish comparison, when it was in fact mentioned in relation to the Lehman Brothers fiasco. The BoE hasn't changed it's view btw; (from your top link) Answering critics of the bank’s gloomy November forecast for the economy, he admitted that the bank did not anticipate the resilience of consumer spending after Britain voted to leave the EU. But he said that he thought the bank was wrong about timing not about the fundamentals, and that the Bank of England still expected Brexit to harm growth. “I think, near-term, the data, the evidence we’ve been accumulating since the referendum, has surprised to the upside. [There’s been] greater resilience, in particular among consumers and among the housing market, than we had expected. Has that led us to fundamentally change our view on the fortunes of the economy looking forward over the next several years? Not really. “This is more a question, I think, of timing than of a fundamental reassessment of the fortunes of the economy. So back in November we published a forecast for inflation which was the highest we’ve ever published. And the forecast for growth in the UK economy, that was the lowest we have ever published. “We are still expecting this rather difficult balancing act for monetary policy with a slowing, not a huge slowing, but nonetheless a material slowing, during the course of next year as the effects of higher prices in the shops begin to chew away a little at the spending power of consumers and cause them to rein back a little in their spending. That remains our central view, with huge amounts of uncertainty around it.”
Our multi-millionaire Rees-Mogg tells LBC listeners when questioned about food banks, "that rather than demonstrating the scale of poverty in the country, the development showed what a good compassionate country we are.” Food bank use is on the rise, with data from the Trussell Trust indicating the country’s food banks provided more than a million emergency food supplies to UK people last year. What a nice compassionate man he must be. I wonder how many parcels he pottered down to the food bank with?
He's something that's waltzed out of the 18th Century ffs. ****ing hilarious that this landed gentry fop was a mouthpiece for Brexit - a vote against the establishment He's right about not being credible btw. As back in 2013 he spoke in the Commons backing the tobacco industry, and then the following year spoke in a debate about deep sea fossil fuel mining. Only he'd not declared the fact that he's the founder and Director of an investment company that has (wait for it..............) £m's invested in the tobacco and fossil fuel, and mining industries........................a Tory trying to feather his own nest? Surely not...........
He dropped off a £7.6M Govt grant at his wife's families ancestral home during the summer. #austerity
I would like to know how many of those using food banks are wearing £100 trainers, keeping expensive dogs, having tattoos and expensive hair treatments. How many have Sky contracts, large screen TVs, gambling accounts and large booze bills. Maybe food is not the priority of some. The food banks make good headlines for the whinging lefties.
I would like to know how many have none of the things you mention because they are on zero hours contracts.
You're so out of touch with reality it's unreal, again you've swallowed the Daily Mail's ire.. http://www.independent.co.uk/voices...nefits-cuts-low-wages-austerity-a7855516.html
If they are not earning enough they should change their job, the UK does not suffer from the lack of job opportunities like many EU countries, including France. Many of those using food banks need to be taught to put food further up their spend list.
I'm sure there are some in genuine need, many others think the world owes them a living. We have a 'must have' culture whether it is affordable or not. The problem is lack of education.
There are some who'll have their priorities wrong, there's others who can't be arsed, but I hate the way they're made out to be the majority - as they're ****ing not. They're demonised as a group by the far right media, in the same way as they've demonised Muslims, 'the left' and anyone who has the temerity to suggest that Brexit is going to be ****.
Glad to help, some people just need encouragement to get off their backsides, stop whinging and make an effort to improve their lives.
