They properly were though Chief. Maybe it was the lack of home fans but it was a stroll.

Still, encouraging. As I said, swagger. Refreshing to see. Bruno’s impact on the squad has been remarkable.

Must have been proper **** for the home team, not having fans.

Just goes to show how important that actually is.

All about telly clappers though, eh!

No doubt some twat in a TV production somewhere thinks it's ok to finish the season off behind closed doors. It's not, just cancel it for **** sake and look forward to next season.

Problem with cancelling the season is the financial impact on clubs at all
levels. We could argue that we’re the form team in the PL and would’ve got 4th, while one of the relegation teams could argue that they had a favourable run of fixtures coming up. But they can’t finish the season behind closed doors. I have no idea what the answer is. My concern right now is my mistress team as it could bankrupt them.

    Yeah, have considered all options.

Which is why my own personal idea/preference/hope is suspend it now, cancel the Euros, and then try to finish the domestic season over early/mid summer.

I get and acknowledge how important the domestic season is to all teams, including Liverpool and Leeds!

Not looking like that's an option either though.

Proper kick in the bollocks for those title and promotion hopefuls. Plus the ones relying on gate receipts, obvs.

Liverpool and Leeds, that's 2 very good reasons to cancel the league and restart from 0 in August.

The return leg of this mighty European last 16 knockout round returns today. The tie is finely balanced with United just edging it 5-0 from the first leg. This could go either way but I have faith in our youngsters and believe tonight would be a good time to play some of our youth to give them experience in non-domestic football against foreign opposition.

Good opportunity tonight for Solskjaer to use City's failings as a piss take.

What more motivation do they need? If we can't raise our game tonight there's no real hope for him.

No Luke Shaw. He's been a real loss to us and I think his absence will take away massively from our game tonight.

It's no surprise our game has become a bit dry since his injury. It's not about him, but his forward play that creates movement, space and chances for our attack.

He'll be in the spotlight no matter what. I don't see what's changed to give him the confidence for a game like this. It's much more likely he'll come out of it looking a liability rather than a saviour.

Why both Romero and Grant on the bench though?
Will he maybe bring Grant on if we are well in front with 15 to go so he can get a medal from the final?

Ah ok I didn't get that earlier. I had no idea he was on the bench as well.

Yeh that's gotta be the reason. Has he been sub to Romero throughout the comp?

Not noticed to be honest but i know he hasn't played. Would be nice to get him a medal even if it's only runner up.

I think if we are playing our best team, then DeGea has to play. Ole had no choice. As He is our No 1 keeper. So how would people react if Romero plays but every other position has our best available.

let’s hope he has a good day.

Another final pissed away - Rashford has been anonymous for weeks and was ineffectual tonight as were Pogba and Fred. Matic would have been well suited to this game, like Pep, Ole came up short in his tactics and team selection.

TBF if we had any strikers that could put the ball in the net their second goal would have been meaningless.

You think so Chief? We opened them up plenty in the first half. And that'll get overlooked by the pundits because Sevilla passed it around better in the first half but created very little. Rashford had about 3 chances but his touch wasn't there. Then the second half we absolutely dominated that final third. 20 shots on goal but couldn't finish.

When that happens you just know it's not going to be our night. I'm convinced now Pogba needs to go. We need match winners and he just isn't one. We need someone hungry in that midfield.

Also confirms the need for a better CB in my mind at the level of Maguire or better.
