some from the 80s were good but since 2000 its all been ****e … I think its all been done and that the **** has risen to the top on daddys money tbh maybe 1 or 2 worth a watch since
I saw Mary and the witches flower, at the cinema recently. It was in Japanese too, with subtitles in English, which you don't see outside of London much. It was rather good.
Agreed on your point regarding a lack of quality recent films. Seem more intent of remaking existing films for a quick buck and usually to a lesser standard. I don't watch loads of new films but I usually find myself disappointed. Few exceptions in Gladiator, Cit of God, The Pianist, The Sixth Sense and they are all a while ago now - late nineties and early 2000s.
the younger generation are more into special effects and hanz zimmer fooling them imo. I know a young man that refuses to watch leon or gladiator saying there too old and will be crap, however he then tries to tell me that xmen and spiderman are good
Went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood recently. Some films have to be seen at the picture house, not on telly, and this is especially true for Tarantino's movies. Pick a comfy cinema though, because 3 hours is a long time to sit with a sore arse (@Hoddle Is A God to confirm) It's ****ing brill btw. Not quite up there with Pulp Fiction, maybe on a par with Kill Bill rthough.
i enjoyed it just because it was a typical Tarantino vibe however i thought overall its not one of his best ones...no where near...id put it one slot above 'From Dusk till Dawn' and below all the rest. Maybe on a par with 'Inglorious Bastards'...maybe. Brad Pitt and Di Caprio were their usual best
****e then tarantino hasn't made a good film since the first killbill and before than pulp fiction which I love … all ****e since
