Thursday night factor will play a huge role in where teams finish, and probably CL games as well to some extent. I hope Ole plays the kids and fringe players, as I want nothing to do with that trophy.

Leicester are where they are on merit, I just don’t see enough quality in depth for them to stay in those top 2 or 3 places long term.

They’re in an almost identical spot to last season after 19 games. They’ve got a point less this season but sit a place higher in the table as of last night.

You got lucky ... without the catastrophic injuries we had your prediction would have been a fart in the wind ... you also said that everybody would find us out this season ... yet here we are sitting top of the league at the halfway stage, having beaten 4 of the big 6 on our way and only losing to one of them ... and them the reigning champs ...

Reality is that we are much better than we were last season ... you'll just have to suck that up mate <cheers>

All we lack is another striker tbf ... and Praet recovering from his injury ... defensively we are sound ... midfield too ... other than losing Praet

We'll play the B string in the cups ...

Indeed ... the difference is how we have strengthened... Castagne, Fofana and Under ... getting Amartey and Pereira back from long term injuries ... Mendy coming good and James Justin and Harvey Barnes developing into starting XI musts ...

Will be about luck with injuries and possibly a further signing ... but our record against the Big 6 already shows we can certainly compete.

    Happy place ... happy fans

No I don't think so ... our squad is now strong enough to carry on competing ... if we fall away it won't be down to injuries ... it will be because we are not good enough ... so far we have proved that we are ... the table doesn't lie <cheers>

you can’t coach any player to be anything

players have their limits and mentalities which can take a long time to get rid of if at all

example: Scholes probably one of the best mids in the PL last 25 years...all his career his tackling was never quite up to scratch. Even the best couldn’t iron that out of him.

Don’t tell me you’re another one of them who can’t see past Mourinho’s name...there’s so many weird ****s around mate, gotta make sure.

As a Spurs fan I’d like to say that the manager is doing a great job...better than about 80% of the rest.

However I am fully aware of some mysterious implosion in the near future and I look on in trepidation as my club gets ruined from top to bottom coz of JM spending all our money, killin all our youth etc etc, blah blah blah

As I was saying further up, in terms of our squad depth, we are definitely on the opposite trajectory to last new year when they were dropping like flies, it feels like we have got through the tough bare bones spell. Whether the added pressure of 3 competitions outweighs that benefit though is where I get what you are saying. I suspect we will have a solid second half, not the kind of form of the first half of last season but nothing like as bad as after new year and get a respectable finish. It’s more about the fact I see the likes of Man City, yourselves and Liverpool having that further depth and doing better than us even if we are doing well.

I just prefer us to go under the radar, no added pressure. I know some like Maddison will relish it as he has looked like he’s enjoyed doing the interviews the past couple of games.

Pretty much ... at this point you'd have to say Citeh are the team that has the momentum... plus an incredible squad ... United, Spurs and Chelsea are all in transition ... Arsenal too (but are surely too far adrift) ... 'Pool are the ones that are of most interest ... seem to be stuttering ... defence is definitely a problem ...

Arguably the best season for competitiveness since the Prem began with the likes of Everton, Saints, Villa and an improving West Ham capable of troubling those currently above them.
