Defender Antoine Makoli has left us "By mutual consent" and has joined Hyde United.

We've signed Taylor Clark an 18 year old midfielder from Needham Market,i guess he'll be part of the development squad.

Young seems to have gone on loan to Scotland, was expecting him to be around the 1st team this season so a bit surprised tbh.

Hanlan seems about to be moved on, I always thought he had a X factor about him which just needed to come out more. We certainly need to strengthen either up front or get a proper replacement for Mehmeti. I have faith in Vokes, but the service is pretty woeful.

£400K it would seem, to Wrexham. Well he didn't wreck any defences for us, good luck to him. I think League 2 is his level

Seems good business to me, but hope we have someone lined up. Preferably a permanent signing. I read a rumour we were keen on Uche, would love to see a 4-3-3 with
    Max
    Grimmer Low Forino Boyes
    Scowen Leahy
    McCleary
    Uche Vokes Taylor

I think we've been keen on him returning for a while now but, from what I've read in the past, it's unlikely he'll step down to League 1. Still, if no-one comes in for him from the Championship, who knows

With only a few days left we really need to act quickly or it’s loans and free transfers for us (I know Uche is a free).
Saying that a front 3 of
    Taylor Vokes TJ
Would be good to see, mainly I’m saying I hate the back 3/5 approach.

I'm not a fan of rigid formations. Defend in numbers and attack fast in numbers, leaving enough in defence and midfield to hold the fort until those striking get back in the case of a counter attack. It's difficult to find room to shoot if you're against a brick wall and it's hard to defend a counter attack against 3 or 4 pacey attackers (wherever they come from). Flexibility, pace and accurate passing is key. Use the ball to get up the field quickly. It's much faster than any player. All this pit pat passing just gives the opposition too much time to get back to defend

I kind of agree, not sure our players can handle total freedom football though. 1 thing I’m certain of is that we won’t ever see a team successfully play out with 2 centre backs on the 6 yard box. Utter madness to me.

Just watched the interview after the game with Bloomfield he obviousl wasn't expecting the question why Hanlan wasn't in the squad, he is really the only one with any real pace in the forward line

I just read that Hanlan will join them later today for £300,000,no loss but at least we get a decent amount of money for him.

He came in on a free I remember, & has Rob has said many times with our support level the only way we will survive is by getting players in on a free & selling them on

    Re Ikpeazu

"Barring unforeseen circumstances, Ikpeazu will return to Wycombe Wanderers for a second spell having represented them in the 2020-2021 season. In his first stint at the Chairboys, the Reading academy product logged 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring 6 goals while producing five assists

Ikpeazu has totaled 72 appearances in the League One for four different clubs, namely Crewe Alexandra, Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale and Blackpool, registering 11 goals and 7 assists"

How does that record cause us to think he will solve our lack of goals problem? So far he has averaged a goal every 6 games; hardly been a goal machine :emoticon-0112-wonde
