Far better once our two best actual defenders came on.

Dalot is a massive liability defensively, I'm always nervous when he's on the pitch.

Gave Varane a rest and Maguire a useful run out.

No coincidence he scored it from a central position and not while wandering about on the right wing.

He should play there next game, and Weghorst be a sub.

A front three of Antony, Rashford and Sancho/Garnacho is quick and dangerous. No need for a big No.9 in all games.

 

The first time I think we’ve got 3 points recently in the absence of Casemiro. That’s important for the confidence of the team.

 

I think we rode our luck today, but I'll take the 3 points.

I really don't want to jinx it, but I worry what we'd do for goals if Rashford got injured.

 

We might well have but, and this is the thing, it was Leeds away. Nearly a 'derby', hostile crowd, full house, one of those games.

And we won. And we kept a clean sheet with a backline of so called ****e defenders, and we had four or five significant injuries/suspensions.


There's going to be one or two banana skins along the way, I thought this would be one but turns out the home game was.

Leicester will be no pushover on Saturday either.

The Barca games are free hits IMHO, they are more like to win than have to win.

Keep ticking over in the league, have a fit and ready first team for league Cup final, and go after the FA Cup as well.

I see no reason to complain at all thus far.

 

If we get top 4 and win the league cup then everything else is a bonus imo

I do think we need other regular goalscorers though bcos we don't look like scoring despite the chances we're creating.

 

I’m not so convinced that we need a 30-goal striker. If we can get 20 goals from a midfielder like the beast that Rashford is becoming under ETH, 15 from another, a front player in the mold of someone like RvP will really suite this system. But there aren’t that many RvPs left in this world. Kane will be a good option too as be knows how to pull defenders to create space and not simply act as target man.

 

I'm talking about the rest of this season mate, with our existing players. Namely Bruno, but possibly Sancho though he's only just returned. (and if Eriksen had been playing I'd say him).

 

Then I don’t think all scoring has been all on Rashford. We are doing well to distribute the responsibility. Rashford only needs to nick one and we get another from others like today. Sancho will also score goals.
