VETCH - you haven't got me all wrong. I'm just the guy for some harmless banter as you correctly put it - oity some others see the need for confrontation by sticking their noses in where it isn't needed.

This is (was?) an extremely good discussion thread, Unfortunately, I've seen many similar threads derailed unnecessarily on our board through confrontational comments when they are simply not needed.

If you want to talk about football (albeit obviously with a club bias), keep this thread on track - it was going OK until someone took the high road.

Being currently at the top of the "second division" in the Premier league, do you see any threats from below you that would change that and jeopardise your expected top half finish?

If you don't use those rose tinted glasses and not bias then anyone at the bottom can overtake us. The difference with the clubs above us is they are big clubs including southampton who have bigger squads. the rest are an unknown and its on the day that counts on whether we or them turn up...At the moment we are leading the second tier and should man city put a shed full against us then our goal advantage will be lost and heads will go down..anyone from us to the bottom is not safe from the drop thats for sure...

what has last season got to do with this season especially as we are not playing as good as we were when we played them..
