Depends on the wind usually. If a light wind they helicopter down. A stronger wind they could be blown for miles but I don’t see how they would end up in one place together. A possible - if a wee bit outlandish idea - is the old biblical fish one. Where an air spout picks up some fish or some other critters and pushes them up into the sky and then drops them miles away as the air pressure changes!

oh aye, i understand all that but we have had many different winds at various times around this time of year and i have never seen the place covered as it is, i don't know if the hot weather caused them to produce far more seeds than usual or it is just one of those 'one in a million' things.

We're currently having a holiday on a working farm in Derbyshire. It has stables and most of the people are great, allowing the grandkids to feed the horses carrots, etc.

One Shetland pony is in a stable with no other horses nearby and is let out into a small field on it's own. It seems disturbed, walks around the stable in circles and tries to bite you if you offer a carrot.

I asked the girl who owns it if it was in solitary.

She pulled a face I've never seen before, not even when I've arrived home on a Sunday night from a Saturday match <laugh>

Not my area really, not horticulturaly trained and it's not well paid for that level tbh ...

... it's average but no more, unless there's bill free accommodation included.

Just seen a report from my local garage, highlighting why I have 4WD and engine malfunction reports on my dash.

A ****ing rat/rodent has chewed through the sensors and wiring. A ****ing rat. and the repair/replacement damage is coming in at £3,300. I mean, what the absolute ****..... The mechanic tells me it is becoming more common, so I should get an ultrasonic rodent repeller fitted to the battery to put the ****ers off in future.

Anyone else had this happen to them

Trying to get through to the insurance company to make a claim is turning into a real ball-ache n 'all. ****ers.

mate i think your getting your eyes took out, get them to show you the damage. most sensors have only 2 wires snip the wire solder in new using heat shrink tubing for aesthetics. if your unsure check it out on you tube

Hi mate happened to me the hot summer of 76 just set off from the house got about 3mile and then steam started to belch out the engine of my Mini Countryman. My mate towed me home and being a bit of a mechanic found the burst pipe was between the cylinder head and block ( the worst
f ucking pipe to fix on the car ) a two inch pipe about half an inch wide. Cylinder head gasket had blew as well so changed that also. Next morning set off 3 miles bang same place again, that’s when I realised the rats on the farm had no water, so we’re eating my pipes, bastards.

If it's driveable don't claim, they won't pay.

Take it home, torch it and then claim.

    Do it on Saturday ...

... it's bonfire night so you can blame the neighbours kids, little rats <laugh>

A poster that is presumably a grown man, having a hissy fit. Probably not that unusual to be fair, but it's akin to the type of tantrum you would see from a 3 year old.
