Why are McLaren worried about George? After his pitstop he’ll be around 16-18 seconds behind with 7 laps left.

Has George put on concete tyres, he’s lost 8 seconds in about 3 laps or is he saving up for fastest lap?

This could have been a bit more tasty behind Max had Merc not gone kamikaze.

McLaren have more podiums this season than Mercedes now. Aston Martin still do as well, Ferrari obviously have their win to cling to

Merc 2023 must be a solid contender for the worst WCC runners up of all time. Under Bernie's medal system they'd be 5th.

Still time for Merc to mess it up more.

Lewis clipped Alonso through misjudgement last year as I recall, resulting in Alonso making comments. These are rookie mistakes from Lewis because he is so eager to be back, I guess.

Carry on like this and that runner-up spot ain't going to happen.

They need to have a word with their drivers. Yes it was Hamilton's fault, but being on the better side of the track, on softs, they must have known he was going to take off like a rat up a drain pipe. Surely they asked them to not be making it difficult on themselves going in to T1. I just don't get it.

I don't know what it is. It's like he's misjudging the size of these cars.

we have to say that mclaren need an award for best set of upgrades ever.

they were absolutely awful starting out this season

I do feel that there's only so much optimisation red bull can do to their car based on the locked engines and such.

the other teams who zero in on this package of suspension amd floor and low drag will crack this.

it makes ferrari all the more infuriating that they absolutely insisted on sticking with their dead end design

No doubt, Macca's rise has been unexpected and impressive. Hopefully there's plenty more to unlock in that car.

A bit alarming to see how bad the dehydration was in this one. Lots of videos of drivers struggling to get out of the cars, both Williams drivers ending up in the medical center, Stroll and Russell mentioned feeling faint through the high speed corners.

The FIA might need to have a look at what a sensible limit is before some passes out in the car

Well, it's only going go get hotter and hotter in the middle east due to global warming so I assume they will pay big to get the last race of season. Just like how another state has paid for the first race

Crikey. Hadn't realized it was quite that bad. Not sure how you fix that without racing in such stupid conditions or introducing some kind of cooled suit.

Add aircon to the cars <laugh><laugh> Maybe a mandated driver cooling slot to feed 'fresh' air into the cockpit.

They do have something like that in IndyCar due to the aero screens removing air flow in to the cockpit and magnifying the sunlight.

I'm fairly sure they could easily encorporate a cooling suit..
