Yep, noticed that just as I got in a few minutes ago. Subconsciously, I knew something wasn't as it should be. Thanks for setting me right.
Cant believe I missed what it was. We were dog walking and I said to Mrs No7 oh look, the full moon is ruined by clouds
Just finished reading the Iliad. Look at this 2,800 year old banter from Achilles; (to Patroclos) "You might be some little girl running to her mother, and pulling at her apron, and keeping her from her work, and blubbering and looking up and saying, Nurse me, mammy dear! That's what you look like, my dear man, crying like that."
I got a birthday card this morning . When I opened it , a load of rice fell out . It was from my Uncle Ben
Just been chatting with a buddy from the Netherlands. Today he got to drive his work colleague's new Tesla Model 3 LR for an hour. He knows I don't use the word 'awesome' unless it is truly vindicated. Watching a total eclipse of the sun first hand is awesome. Seeing Zaphod Beeblebrox come out of the Total Perspective Vortex with an improved opinon of himself is awesome. Yet when I asked him what it was like to drive, he said, 'Andy, I kid you not, it's ****ing awesome. No other car I have driven has come remotely close to it. The huge power seemed totally effortless. It's like a rollercoaster'. The bastard. And it wasn't even the super quick one.
Have a quick skip through the new 2000hp Evija from Lotus. Speak kindly to your bank balance because it will faint when you draw £1.7M from it. And move quickly too. Only 130 of these will be made:
@ChilcoSaint @jonny 'hasen' shuttle You closed the latest Jonny thread before I got to ask him a very important question: Jonny - where the hell do you drink in Northampton on a Friday afternoon mate? Let me know and I’ll join you next week. Sounds fun.
hi yes we must sort something. i work in london so commute back so a weekend afternoon woudl work well!! I live off the race track in northampton my threads are not much appreciated it seems!
Great idea, a competition to see who gets the most thread closures. While we're on the subject, I think Chilcs is a little harsh on Jonny's posts. At least they are entertaining and not one mention of electric cars .
On this occasion it was Mr B Tare who closed the thread, but I agree Jonny’s threads do help to while away the long Friday afternoons by giving us mods something to do.
Yep. Let’s sort it soon. Couple of good beer pubs that way and I have a son who now drives. He owes me a few lifts!
One for the mods: When I look at live activity and it tells me that of almost 1000 online connections over 500 are Robots, what does it mean? Are they benign not606 maintenance drones or alien invaders?
Pretty much the latter! Being a public forum attracts all sorts of undesirables, but fortunately the site security is mostly good. It takes a real human to hack someone’s account!
