A little over a month ago Rocky was diagnosed with stomach cancer and it quickly spread to his liver and bones he was put on palliative care a few weeks ago and died today he was one of the best RIP Rocky
OMG That is so sad. I had no idea. A lovely chap. I recall having a drink with Rocky and his wife outside the Crown at Hazlemere. And we went to Wembley together for the Play Off Final Guy. Life isn't fair. Please pass on my condolences to his family. RIP Rocky
I am truly shocked. I was only thinking about him the other day and that I hadn't seen any posts from him. So sad to hear and can you pass on my sympathies to his family also. I will remember him for his great sense of humour even though we never met.
He was a great mate and we had some great times together. I’ll miss him and the banter we used to have. Rest in peace my friend
Thank you greeny. We are only a small forum but we have been together for almost 10 years and it is a big loss to us all. Rocky was one of the few forum members (here and the horse racing forum) I have actually met
Oh no that's so sad he always came across as a decent fella on here. Can we do something like name part of the forum after him in his memory? RIP Rocky.
How about The Rocky Memorial Betting League? It wouldn't need renaming when we get to the Premier League
I propose the latter as it was Rocky who set up this thread. Also it will always be there, whereas there is no guarantee the betting comp will
Was Rocky also known as Stokenchurch ? If so, he appeared to be a smashing bloke with a terrific sense of humour, and will, I imagine, be sadly missed by everyone who knew him RIP
Really sorry to hear that. I'm speaking as someone who has undergone treatment for Prostate Cancer, and luckily received confirmation, within the last three months that I am now clear of the cancer. I had no symptons when I was first diagnosed with it, after a routine PSA blood test that my wife persuaded me to attend. My PSA blood level was fairly high, and the MacMillan nurse told me that if I had left it for 12 months, it could have been a different story ! I can only recommend that any male aged 40 plus should strongly consider asking their GP to arrange a PSA blood test for them. End of sermon.
Yes mate one of the same he wasn't up on technology and forgot his login password and came back as Stockenchurch
