NLD confirmed for Thursday 12th May. Knew the PL would try and re-schedule it super late so that it could potentially be a CL-decider.
AM I the only one who thinks Haaland would be a poor signing for City? I mean he a GREAT player but he's suited to sides that break at pace down the wings. I don't think he works for City at all. They would be better with a Dyabala/Lautaru type forward IMO.
It won't matter to city if he flops anyway. Pep will just beg for more money and replace him when hes sold to psg for 80m If he flops, which I think is highly unlikely.
It's not about flopping at City for me its he's an extremely good young striker that could ruin his career with a wrong move. I could see him working at Bayern, Liverpool or Real.
I ****ing hope United don't sign DeJong and Darwin Nunes, its crazy they finish outside the Champions League places yet STILL spend soo much on players.
Am I the only one who thinks Liverpool may drop off this Season? Despite the Nunes signing. I think Mane is big loss and Sarah, Firminho, Henderson are all in their 30's. Chelsea also could capitulate, Tuchel doesn't seem happy with the squad. Players seemingly want to leave. Im more worried about Tottenham under Conte
City should still walk it, but I agree with you that Spurs may do very well. I have a sneaky suspicion that Spurs will do something. My top 4 is 1.City 2. Spurs 3. Liverpool 4. Chelsea I think we (Chelsea) will get top 4, but only just. I think Arsenal will be fifth and United 6th.
Nah, they have lots of players who can score all types of goals, but they haven't had anyone who can attack aerial balls since Dzeko. The semi v Real would've had a different outcome if they'd had someone like him on the pitch. His injury record, on the other hand, that would be the worry for me if I were City. He's a big heavy lad who jumps very high and plays aggressively, which means there's a lot of weight and energy going through those joints, and that's where he's getting injuries. He reminds me of Andy Carroll in that regard.
They don't fire crosses in - that's not the Pep way at all Jesus is a good header of the ball but they would often shift him outwide and play a no.10/false 9. I think back to Ibra at Barca - it just wasn't a good match. But who knows maybe Pepe will build a new side around Haaland now.
Congratulations to the England women’s team for bringing it home and winning the Euros - a historic and wonderful achievement
I can't help but think Tavares is better suited to playing as a wing back rather than a traditional fullback.
Nice to see both Spurs and Chelsea dropping points yesterday 1/4 of the season gone and we sit top of the league - it’s been a very good start but we need to keep going at the same pace as other teams will start to get in to their stride and will gain on us - Liverpool and United both look better than their poor starts suggested. The top 4 will be a big step forward for us and is a realistic target
Three of our four games pre-world cup are away, all three of them potential banana skins. 8pts from those four games and I'd be very happy.
