Dermot on Refwatch says the AMN penalty was correct, Referee's call and he was close enough to make the decision.
I disagree, I've just looked again at the replays and AMN was most certainly "touched", the player was only intending to kick the ball but definitely made contact with AMN, the Referee couldn't possibly have had a better view of it.
Yeah there's definite contact there. Now, I do think AMN made the most of it but it's a careless challenge so it's a foul.
On Sky they pointed out that the Spurs player wasn’t surprised by the decision suggesting he knew there had been contact.
Just seen it for the first time since i saw it live. My reactions: Live Me: "Ref, Ref! Pen!" #StrawClutching "Yeeeesss!!!!!" "****, VAR review" "Please let it be outside so JWP has free kick instead" Announcer: "VAR review complete, Penalty" Me: "****, I can't look" "YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!" Watching replay: Me: "That is harsh. Actually, not sure how we got that"
It came as a severe shock to Saints fans, that we actually got a favourable decision. We still had to go through the usual torture while they desperately looked for an excuse to disallow it, but they couldn't justify it, because it wasn't an obvious mistake by Mr Hooper.

i think that was an interesing match. We played some of the best footbal I have seen us play at home this season. Shame we gave away too soft goals. I thought the penalty was lucky at the time yet MofD made me appreciate why it was given. It was a clear cut penalty.
