It's hard to tell who is **** under Bruce. He was ok under Rafa. I will leave it to another, more competent, manager before I write him off

Too quick to write SL off. As Dazza said, he was good under Rafa. I believe he has got talent but Bruce has crushed it. Let’s see what a different manager can make of him. He’ll not be great but he’ll be a decent CM in a mid table side.
He's killing almiron again now... Bruce had the players for 4 2 3 1 but he's got this belief that playing more than 3 attacking players is a bad idea... Willock and matty should start but it'll be the same side vs Leicester.. I don't think he realises just how bad our cms are... I cannot get my head around shelvey.. I mean litterally every goal we concede hes just walking around watching it..
He’s static. Him and Shelvey stay at the same two positions in front of a bank of 5. His potential is gone: he’s not improving and he won’t.
God how long have I been hoping for an actual proper CM who puts him self about and drives the team forward. We literally have no personality in the middle of the park. Totally pedestrian. #1 priority for me
Longstaff appear to play better whien he's paired with Hayden, but a 3 of Hayden, Longstaff and Shelvey is hardly dynamic. A few years ago I'd say he was on par with the likes of Rice and McTominay, as promising young midfield players, they have both progressed their game over the past 2 seasons, McTominay also looks physically much improved too. Longstaff hasn't improved his game, if anything he's regressed. I'm not sure that's down to tactics or the manager, he just doesn't look quick enough, mobile enough or strong enough.
