I'm declaring today the 'Smug day off from any negativity'.

Thanks to @Dunder Mifflin I'm just setting off for Wycombe on the back of wonderful news.

SAFC have attracted investment from world renowned, ultra successful, businessmen.

We have an incredible support going to watch a new era for the team and an attacking intent.

A win, or even a fighting mentality and a real performance, then the whole mood can shift.

It may be easy to spout things about drawing lines in sand etc, but this is surely the time.

This may not be the 'instant success' we'd all like but its a fabulous rung on a ladder we have to climb.

Haway Sunderland ...

... 3 points, some real noise today and onwards & upwards tomorrow!!!

If the finishing line is indeed finally here, and I believe this article far more than anything printed in The Sun, then you deserve a big drink mate with the abuse you’ve taken along the way. I imagine many people (over the road) owe you an apology, but I don’t think they’ll be forthcoming.

I never wanted praise and didn't expect so much abuse but I accept them both with equal ambivalence mate.

Most of what I've posted, after the initial few days, was passing on what I'd been told.

Thanks though, much appreciated.

Hope you and thest of the fans have a great away day at Wycombe.

Sing loud, sing proud and get behind the new manager. Show the yanks what they're investing in <cheers>

Chris the accountant? Has similar negative views of SD on Twitter and KM on here.

I've been out so I'm catching up half pissed/asleep and I've probably lost the plot over the last 10 pages!

So am I right summarising that at worst, SOL is to become the Energy Checker Stadium on a bad deal, no Netflix series 2 because of the Grigg debacle, and we've pissed off Ainsworth (definitely lose today then!) and shown Parkinson that we're a bit amateurish?

But the investment is still on?

I must confess to wondering if the mythical 'Chris' and KM aren't one and the same, given the way they appear to echo each other's allegations in an almost sychronised fashion.

KM though appears to now be calming down and attempting to distance himself from them.

Self preservation perhaps?

Who can say?

He's come out and said he's not Chris but he does agree with some of his opinions.

You know the best bit about this investment / takeover.

They haven't even seen the fans at their loudest, can you imagine their faces when the SOL is packed and we are in full voice? It still gives me goosebumps, imagine what they will be like

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't but either way I can understand him wishing to now distance himself from the spouted, defamatory bile against our current owners.

Actions have consequences etc.

They'd find a way to whinge about the way we won the Champions League final Hank ...

... they'll pull this deal to pieces like dogs on a rabbit.

15 minutes and they're already arguing and bitching ...

"I cant take anymore of this absolute shyte."

"A deal which will see a group of American businessmen invest in Sunderland AFC is on the brink of being completed."

Never in doubt was it Smug ...
It'll be interesting to see what the deal is, hopefully Sunday/ Monday...:-)
