I didn’t no but we’ve had takeovers before and nothing has changed. Little it can do before May. We’ve blown it again and this one feels even worse than 2 years ago.
We haven't got Fagin and the Artful Dodger in charge any more. We've got an intelligent new owner with a definite plan for the future. He's already said that he's prepared for next season, whether we go up or not. He has already introduced a new structure to the club, and in time this will reap dividends.
So you actually think there's no difference between our current owner and our previous one? Have to a special kind of nugget to think that imo.
I disagree. If I was a player and the manager has been apparently given a big budget, I’d want to play better to ensure I’m playing alongside those bought with that budget. As McGeady apparently said, he knows he’s just about done but he also knows there’s players in the dressing room who should have aspirations to play at a higher level. Why should SAFC having money to spend matter? If you look at it logically, those players who apparently will lose interest because they “know they’re not good enough” (which Wolfy said) should surely be exactly the opposite
There’s obviously a difference but doesn’t mean things will end up any better. I actually think the appointment of Lee Johnson was a bad one, I presume it was his regime that appointed him ie. Speakman. I hope I’m wrong but for decades this club has conjured up false dawns, why would this be any different?
****ing he’ll man!!! 1 loss in 15 and he’s a bad appointment! Best manager in the league since his appointment I believe
The run I would say is in spite of him, I’m not saying he’s done a bad job so far, but I think he will end up being a failure.
I'm almost certain it was Speakman that appointed him. And that's the point- the whole culture of the club has been changed. Johnson won't be manager forever but with the people in the background, like Speakman, we will have a continuous and ingrained culture, similar to Ajax or Barcelona, rather than lurching from one approach to another as we did under Short. The run is in spite of him?!?! You're either on a wind up or you can't make simple interpretations from basic evidence.
You've just said there isn't a couple of posts ago. I'm beginning to suspect you haven't actually got a clue what your talking about.
If we got to the play off final I couldn’t be there so not bothered either way about that, if you are talking about top 2, that’s gone.
We have a very good squad of players, it was hardly a Eureka moment to bring Aidan McGeady back in, any manager would have, that’s been the catalyst for our upturn in form really.
