Its not hard or should I say shouldn't be hard to get something. Phone up Reliance HQ and get either a denial or a no comment. Then print the story 5 things we learned on how to make a phone call 1. pick up reciever 2. tap in some numbers 3. hang up when it makes a funny sound other than a local call. 4. repeat steps 1,2 and 3 5. write a **** front page headline
I’ve maintained this for some time - there remains a confidence from all parties that a deal can be done. The Reubens were briefing not too long back they will get their deal over the line. Other parties are remaining much more quiet. This is a cards close to the chest point in proceedings

In all honesty, with a sensible head on. Why would the PL suddenly change their minds? 2 weeks before they find out if they even have a case to answer with regards CAT. Why would Ashley entertain someone out of nowhere all of a sudden 2 weeks prior to finding out if he has a CAT case? (If its Ambani or A.N Other on their own) Why would the consortium leave it this late to pull a 4th party to the table? (If its Ambani to join the party) Only way any of this makes any sense is if the PL have been given a heads up prior to CAT that they could well loose and after 18 months have finally decided to play nice, or someone, somewhere, somehow has something they are going to blurt out at the CAT case that the PL can't stop and are now ****ting themselves.
If its true they'll have been getting their ducks in a line for quite some time. It's probably bullshit though. I just like getting carried away because the alternative is boring
nah mate that was the Arbitration case. The CAT hearing is on 29th September, was originally the 27th. Was put back to 29th to allow live streaming - to determine if there is a case to answer. If there is a CAT case that could take another 12 months to be heard. My straw clutching is both sides have been told they can present their evidence to the judge and We have some proper dirt on the PL and Masters/Hoffman that will cause the PL major **** and they are now trying to save face. We will wait and see, as I say that's the straw clutching in me as nothing else makes any sense to me.
Just out of curiosity what's an avy bet and what is the bet on? Kenyon led takeover? Ambani led takeover? PCP/PIF/Reubens takeover? PCP/PIF/AMBANI/Reubens takeover? Bin Zayed group takeover? Even Keith seems to be hedging bets now saying more than 1 party at the table and should be done end of October with 1 good takeover and 1 horrible takeover - no names though
Just any bet and if you win you provide an avy for the their profile. Make sure to take a screenshot because you'll require evidence...
Hmm, so this is all really interesting - basically, there's all kinds of links between the US and India from Reliance Industries. There is also links between IMG and Silver Lake (investors in City Group), though diverse enough to be of no consequence, and what's really interesting is Reliance bought IMG outright back in Dec 2020. There's a huge onus on sports investment across the Reliance Group through both IMG and also RISE (Reliance Industries Sports & Entertainment). There's a lot of friction in India due to the influence Ambani has on the ISL (Indian Super League) and there's also not been the growth, locally, that they would have liked. FIFA are very supportive of awakening India's potential on the World Stage and both Ambani's are big football fans. A lot of this kind of comes together with US investors, the Ambani rumours and the big changes seen within Reliance in looking to sports & entertainment. From the vague stuff I've heard and a few other bits, I am confident that the deal will not involve PIF and instead go through Reliance/IMG, with PIF taking a Silver Lake/City Group role in investing into the club as non-execs, which doesn't touch the PL. The opportunity would be the RIDICULOUS market in India, broadcast rights via IMG/Endeavour on private channels. All of this bumps along nicely with the India/Middle East closeness, gives them a marketable PL strategy, Indian broadcast opportunity, private broadcast opportunity as well as a huge media outlet for the groups other interests. This is WAY better than PIF on its own.
