We’ll never know but fact is he didn’t buy in until Cellino had sorted the mess. Everything else is guesswork imo
I keep hearing that Cellino sorted out the mess. Did I miss something? Were GFH gone from our lives? No. Did we own Elland Road? No. We're we debt free? No. Did we have an owner that had been and was about to be banned again? Yes. Did we have multiple court cases during his tenure? Yes.

To be fair, I am beyond caring really he is gone but I think I will save my praise for someone who really has made a difference thanks :emoticon-0148-yes:

Not over it mste but getting there slowly...The painkillers are very strong.
Will be three months before I am fully recovered.
Need a second op in three and a bit weeks just to remove a stent.
She has flown go rhodes to sign the contract to sell the villa we only bought in June. Made a few quid but because of that thing we csnt talk about not as much as it could have been.

She flies back Tuesday and if I am vertical we are off to cornwall by train for a few days R and R.
Chippy sorry to hear you have been in hospital. I have seen odd comments about your health but thought it was banter. I was away early to mid august so must have missed the story. Good luck, good health and best wishes.

Instead of dozens of offshore companies owning Leeds before he came in, which nobody was interested in getting involved in, Cellino tenure tidied up that mess and eliminated a lot of waste at the time. Like you Marcos, all irrelevant now thankfully and we can nearly all look forward to a great future <ok>

I remember being called a bore on BBC606, then JA because of my hate for Bates & the digging into his companies, his accounts, his conspirators, his offshore shell companies, his raiding of our money, his administrations....... Massive amount to clean up after him and then GFH made it worse. Cellino will not really get any credit for doing his bit but maybe as time goes on and Radz gives more detail it may come out. Radz in fairness actually said that Cellino had worked his backside off behind the scenes getting the club ready.... I may be totally wrong but struggle to see how Radz was able to do things so fast without help

Spot on Doc. Think that’s it in a nutshell <ok>

Good Morning Everyone

Deadline day has passed, and there are no casualties to report...:emoticon-0141-whew:

Its been a while since we've been able to report that!!!

Here we go folks, the class of 2017...

You must log in or register to see images

I think Eire was right. Leeds always had Cibicki and Lasogga wrapped up, but wanted to draw out the process for more kudos!

Thoughts?

It is obvious that we are a stronger squad than last season, but is our starting XI stronger?

Is Cellino responsible for our upturn in fortune. Surely it was he who introduced Radrizzani to the club.

Are we in a better position than let's say Villa or Boro?

Deadline day has come and gone, we have some great signings with a couple yet to make their mark, but all up, we're a better and stronger team than last season.

Adding to the above, we aren't a one trick pony team any more, and while some articles were saying TC would build on what Monk created, I don't see that, TC and Radz have done it there way and created a more attacking team than last season, I think the goals scored, and the way we scored them attests to that, not to mention the players brought in who scored'em. We don't watch boring, flat and mediocre football anymore, we watch top notch exciting football which has all Leeds fans talking and having orgasms.

While some still don't like Cellino, and refuse to give him credit for what he achieved, he is the reason we are where we are at the moment. Cellino was the stepping stone that now has Leeds standing on solid ground, he bought the club when we were seriously under threat of going under again, thanks to GFH.

Cellino sorted out a lot of the mess left behind by GFH and Bates, he paid players wages when GFH refused too, he got rid of a lot of debt, and staved of GFH by doing a deal, in other words, Cellino recognised what arseholes GFH were and held'em at bay, then bought their shares to own 100% of Leeds United. Some say GFH were in control, but I reckon Cellino knew what he was doing. He refloated our club and team.

It's easy to attack the negatives and turn a blind eye to the positives, especially when the negatives fuel a person's personal agenda.

Rads owns ER, not Leeds United, difference between Radz and Adler is, Radz ain't charging any rent to LUFC.

Cellino stabilized our club, Radz is building on it and taking our club to the next level, this season looks very very promising for promotion, either through the top 2 or via the playoffs, and we've only played 5 league games.

While many were saying we shouldn't sell Wood, it was the best bit of business Radz did for LUFC, the team and football wise. Wood leaving was the best thing to happen to Leeds United. We have better players, better goal scorers, play much better football, the fans are loving it, and we're scoring multiple goals, with the exception of the two 0-0 draws. We've beaten teams that many said were hard to beat, and we just didn't beat'em, we pretty much controlled the games.

4 games in and fans were already saying, Wood who? Wood who? who the feck is Wood?

We are, at the moment playing our football with flair, confidence and audacity, the combination makes it exciting to watch, and, we're playing for 90 mins plus.

Are we in a better position than Villa or Boro, or any of the other bigger teams in Championship, only time and a successfull season will be able to answer that, but, as far as Boro are concerned, I reckon we're way in front of what Monk created.

Leeds United this season are a team going places, and it's always in the direction of up.

I'm so excited,
I just can't hide it,
we're going to score lots of goals
and I think I like it.......:emoticon-0148-yes:

Only agenda I have is wanting a professionally run successful Leeds United and you are, of course, quite wrong. Cellino is not the reason we are where we are now. Stepping stone maybe but Rads is the reason we are where we are now not Cellino.

You obviously don't get, it do you.
If you mean I have a different opinion to you then you are correct.

Let me ask you a question, who was the owner when we had your hated Monk as manager and the useless Wood up front with us playing the one dimensional flat footed football you go on about? Now another, who was the owner that oversaw the fantastic transfer window you also talk about, let Monk and Wood go and appointed a new manager that got us playing the football that has you so excited?

Answer both honestly and see if you can work out who is responsible for where we are now.

That is without needing to discuss who brought the ground and stopped charging us rent, who has never dragged Leeds United through the courts, who actually paid off GFH rather than created debentures against our club and had a boardroom full of ill equipped individuals, withdrew funding from our academy and sacked loads of long serving staff etc.

I acknowledged maybe Coco was a stepping stone I just disputed the fact that he was the reason we are where we are now.

You are also correct that one of us just doesn't get it.

Agree with all that. Not to mention that Cellino's eccentricities stopped the moment Radz got involved and effectively had a gagging order on him as negotiations took place. And quite right that Cellino certainly did not 'rid' us of GFH, they had sway over practically all his business decisions. Effectively all he did was restructure the debt. <ok>
