Simon there are two factors to your reporting, firstly they are terrible crimes and secondly that the criminals are of a certain ethnicity, why haven’t you started a thread about white male dominated crime that goes on or did you just pick this it random?

As Akala points out in the interview there was a similar issue north of the boarder, although of no interest to you because the criminals were white Simon and would go against this is a black crime problem, this is also the case in a lot of other uk cities. In Glasgow they took steps to address the issues at the route cause and prevent youths going into this way of life and the issues have dropped massively. Why aren’t you suggesting pushing such ideas forward?

A few years back there was youth violent crime comparable to London in the last few years, however rather than just alienating the offenders and those who were more likely to enter into that way of life. Youth schemes and programs were set up and other potential contributors looked into and addressed... since this these crimes have fallen considerably.
