I don't play myself but enjoy watching the majors... and may well do a few e.w bets before Thursday ... Ricky Fowler and John Rahm plus a couple of long shots
Rahm IS my long shot!! Not 100% sure the Masters is Fowler's bag. I think he'll win an Open soon though. If he plays well, McIlroy will win. I've also got an inkling for Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose (2nd last year, 3rd the one previous I think) Absolute outsider is Rafa Cabrera Bello for me. The two left handers Bubba and Phil Mick got big shouts too. Wide ****ing open, can't wait.
I'd love to watch it all but I need a kip on Sunday night and can't stay up until 1pm watching golf so it would be pointless to watch it.
It’s one of the very few golf tournaments that I’ll sit and watch (despite playing myself) and it’s the one I enjoy the most. Love the course and watching it bite even the very best on the arse.
I marginally prefer the Open but as that's on throughout the day I tend to miss most of it, although the Sunday afternoon is sacrosanct. This is on at a good time, can sit/lie there and watch the lot till the end as everyone else in the house has gone to bed. Admittedly it ****s up Monday morning but it's usually worth it.
Couple of the other lads were really into it though Comm. Used to tell us when they playing, how they played, who they beat, what they wore, what they drank
I remember that thread, rather than spoil it, i even contributed to it (even though i dont like golf). It was quite informative about some of the terms used.
Now that the man himself has not qualified, Casey is Lee Westwood's replacement. Will play well for three days, lead early on the final day, then disappear without trace over the back nine to finish joint 15th.
My mate's bet on Casey for years when he wasn't injured and never won a penny. He isnt doing it this year so sod's law dictates he'll be in the mix. He's been doing better on the final day in many of his recent competitions. That's what I'm counting on this year. Several tipsters have suggested de Champeau and at 80/1 thats not a bad e/w bet. Fleetwood's been looking comfortable recently so I'm going for another brit. Being a lefty I usually go for 1 if I can. Mickleson's odd's didn't make it worthwhile though.
