Just had a letter from our dentist practise saying it's going private. Thousands of people in absolute limbo, left without a dentist, unless they can afford a monthly plan on top of the cost of living crisis. What an absolute shambles this country has become over the last decade. The rich getting even richer whilst the poor will have to pull their own teeth. Hopefully that criminal bitch Mone, who has stolen our money is ok somewhere and that other Tory donor who received £38m for providing absolutely nothing in return. Biggest criminal syndicate in the UK are the Tories
I thought all dentists were private All mine charged an arm and a leg for treatment Bloody expensive here too

Earlier today at immigration in Zurich airport. LibDem ‘Karen’ with home haircut and a whiff of cats: “Can I please join the EU citizens queue? I still have a maroon passport and I never wanted to leave you” Swiss Border Official: “We’re not in the EU. Get in the other queue”
This really does look like something to be concerned about.... Humans may only have two years before AI systems become too powerful to control, Sunak’s tech chief warns (msn.com) Not sure that comparing it to Covid does the trick, though.
Those pesky Ruskies have been at it again, alledgedly blowing up a dam on the Dnipro and putting at least 16,000 people at risk, with catastrophic environmental and commercial repurcussions. Russia trying to blame the Ukranians, of course, but it's hard to see what they would gain from destroying a dam on land that they wish to regain. Sounds like it's all building up to a big offensive by the Ukrainians, funded by the West...how far can they push the Russians out before Putin does something unimaginable....
It’s hard to see what either side would gain from blowing up the dam. We’ll probably never know one way or the other
The Ukranians blew up smaller dams earlier in the conflict which flooded lots of areas around Kyiv (I think it was Kyiv, may have been another city) which stopped the armoured advance of the Russian tanks, APCs and artillery. Maybe the Russians are using similar tactics this time round...
Quite possibly. However it would also effect massively Crimea that relies on the water (of course wouldn’t put it past Putin to have a “don’t give a ****” attitude). Also I might have read somewhere that it would also effect water supply to one of the nuclear power stations now controlled by Russia….so if it was Russia it’s a very dangerous game they are playing for sure. I just dunno….it all just seems rather “odd”. A but like the gas pipe that was “definitely” blown up by Russia according to the US….which it now seems was not. Funnily enough the Pentagon is saying the dam was probably blown up by Russia…hmmm
Yeah, read all that too. Both sides benefit by blaming the other and both sides have pros and cons for attacking the dam. I also heard someine saying the dam was built in the 1950s and constructed using heavy metals (no, not Ozzy Osbourne!) which could lead to a lot of crop contamination across the country once the waters have subsided - I'd have thought that neither side would really want this, but wouldn't be suprised if Putin didn't give a ****
