I just keep thinking that if SR had been a little bolder over the summer, we could have Di Zerbi as manager and Ramos up front. We’d be in a far different position now if we’d done so.
Even sticking with Ralph and signing either Ramos or Vitinha would have seen us in a much more healthier position.
It’s all hypothetical. If you put Che Adams in Ligue Un then he’d probably hit 20 goals a season and be valued at €30m. There’s really no way of knowing how good a player will be until they are actually doing it.
I think we need to give up on this theory of 'doing the scouting for other teams'. For the non FM players amongst us, a lot of these names are unheard of, but any Prem League club who are in the market for a half decent striker will be fishing in a small pool, and will be well aware of all these players and will no doubt have been tracking them for a long time. If some of you are aware of these players because they could potentially help your FM career, then it's a given that professional football scouting networks are aware of them, in order to potentially save their club from relegation! I'm sure many years ago, (when we were the envy of other clubs by introducing the infamous 'black box'), we would be finding and tracking players that no-one else had heard of. Unfortunately every PL club has caught up and now has extensive scouting, both physically and digitally, so the notion that no-one else was in for Vitinha, Sulemana etc is fantasy. The storybook is written and emphasised by the order of which supposed ITK gets hold of the rumour first. If it's one of ours, followed by one of Everton's, then it is them hi-jacking our deal. Maybe our supposed ITK's are more on the ball than Everton's or Bnmth's and that makes it look like we are first and they all copy our transfer strategy? All i know is, they are all rumours, more often than not, made up by spotty teenagers' or football nerds sat in their bedroom, banging one out furiously as their followers grow. Until i see a rumour/ link posted by Benjy Nurick, Adam Blackmore, Alfie House etc, i'm sitting tight, trying not to get p1ssed off, keeping everything crossed and hoping for the best! Enjoy today's rollercoaster! COYR.
Why do you say that? It doesn't matter which country you play in if you keep missing one-on-one's with the keeper.
There’s more to scoring than just one on ones. Adams isn’t that bad. Lacks composure but against lower quality defenders and keepers he would get more time and opportunities.
