I think most players brought in over the last year have been decent. Problem is, not enough depth so that the young kids who need a rest have an opportunity to step out for a bit. LJ said he wanted a as small squad and now we see the issues. On player recruitment I don’t disagree with the approach of picking up younguns with a chance to develop but that had to be balanced by numbers and the right amount of experience. That to me is where the problem lies. I don’t know if he’s a bluffer or not and I’ll take your word on that one but I think under his watch we’ve signed some decent players. We saw it early in the season before they hit a brick wall.
I hope someone addresses this issue because we’ll never move forward properly unless we do

Problem we'll have getting free signings in is it is unlikely they would have played much football recently so won't be up to speed to go straight in, like neil is complaining about with the players already signed.

Plus when onein, mcgeady come back they'll be short of match fitness.

To me all this emphasises how much of a cluster **** the transfer window was and it looks like all that lies at speakmans door.

And looking a bit further ahead to the summer, the loan players will all go back and we have a **** load out of contract so it looks like another big rebuilding job in the summer.
And that's without consideration for clubs coming in for Neil and Stewart if we don't go up.

All out of contract/going back to their parent clubs in the summer. Will Alex Neil still want Dajaku and Hoffman? Wonder if the deals are done and dusted or could he pull the plug.

 

Quite a list that mate. Speakman said it was a 4 window project I think. Summer will need to be enormous, no matter which league we are in. We will have one centre half ane one centre forward. Once again players will be building new partnerships.

 

Literally all over the pitch potentially. Keeper with CHs, full backs with wingers, wingers with CF, full backs with CHs. It looks like a massive summer imo.

Speakman is clearly out of his depth, doing a job he has never done before. He should be back working with young players where his record was good.

He has never played professionally, never coached a professional team, and here he is calling all the shots.
Utter madness. It's the best job in the world. You **** up, sack someone else, get another in, (eventually) then sack him probably. Rinse and repeat until you eventually get found out.
