He's a very poorly guy, I've left it since the 9th April, when he was last online, so that's nearly four weeks now, but there is no easy way to say that someone is terminally ill. He wanted me to be able to tell you the truth after he's gone, so it would be no mystery and he asked if I left it until after a few weeks of non activity. I know you may have lots of questions, but I'm not going to divulge his prognosis at this time, I will leave it for another month or two, as I'm not certain of his current medical condition, by that I am meaning, is he alive, if he is alive is able to communicate (type) or understand communication via reading, I can't give you the answers I'm afraid. Why am I telling you now, I worry about reading any obtuse comments on the forum, afterall, not606 is a place of banter and I had to measure when that time had come to tell you. So all I can really say at this point in time is leave some kind messages as if he can read them. I'll continue willing Everton to stay up.
Best wishes for @Tobes. Really hope everything improves for him and he makes it back here some day. I know all ribbing and joking on my part was intended to provoke him to come back and reply if he was reading, and not intended out of malice. Genuinely hope all turns out OK and wish him the best.
Awful news, never know what to say in these situations tbh. Just hope he's not in pain and suffering. Best wishes.
Knew he had some pretty serious health issues from past conversations... had a suspicion something was up as he has never been the type to not 'face up' ... Football rivalries pale into insignificance against real life trials and trauma and if you do look in @Tobes know that my thoughts and very best wishes are sincerely with you and your family and I hope you can come through it and bounce back.
God, no. No, no, no. We both got ill around the same time, and all I can say is that, for over 15 years, he's been - as much as anybody in cyberspace is - a friend. I know there's been much winding-up about Everton going on, and a few posters have PM'd me to ask if I knew he was okay. I always replied I thought he was, but in the back of my mind I feared... All I can now say is that you beat me to being a granddad. I hope that kid is an uplifting gift to you now, mate. Stay as strong as you can be, and remember, friend and foe alike, you have many on this place who care for you and are in their thoughts. please log in to view this image
Really like Tobes seems like forever that I was chatting to him on JA606 and convinced him to jump across to us here, was looking forward to meeting up with him at the Merseyside derby and then Covid happened and ****ed that up. All the best mate if you can read this I really hope you're back with us soon. More importantly healthy and with your family.
****ing hell that's awful Always had good banter with Tobes on here going back to when this board first got really busy 7/8 years ago. Much love to him and his family. Wanted Everton to stay up anyway but even more so now - up the ****ing Toffees.
Sad to hear about Tobes...life just takes the piss sometimes it seems Everything read on here is just opportunist banter...which is the heart and soul of this place and we all give and take on here. Tobes has always been part of them kind of shenanigans so he probably expects nothing less from us considering the plight of his beloved Toffee men. insha'Allah Tobes gets back to his best soon and we see him back here giving Peej some much needed support.
Sorry to hear your bad news mate, life is a bitch but like`Frank at Everton theres a fight in there that needs to be won. Be nice to see you back in time on the board, chin up mate.
I echo everyone’s sentiments on here. There’s very little that I can add other than if you still read this, I’m genuinely upset to hear this news.
Sad news......we've clashed more than a one man bands knee symbols but it's only words and opinions at the end of the day no biggy compared to someone's health. I wish u a full recovery tobes dude take care fella
I just know you're alive cos you're such a bull-headed, hard-nosed, persistent sod! Kick the fcking **** out of it Tobes and get your arse back on here. Thinking of you mate
Really sad to hear. Was always up for a sensible conversation as well as some piss taking when he visited the Liverpool board. Just echo what everyone else has said really, fingers and everything crossed
