Certainly so. I know that Asprilla is young, and has moved from the comforts of home/different culture etc, but his talent is there for all to see and he's no snowflake - so why he has been used so sparingly is a mystery to me. As a creative midfielder, he's better than others we have, or have had, imo.
His range of passing is better than Louza and he gets stuck in more, has to be careful he does not get too many yellow cards where Louza gets too many injuries Of our four show ponies Asprilla could end up our best option for the future (the others to avoid any absence of doubt Pedro, Sarr and Louza)
While the young man shows a huge amount of potential talent, with a great vision and ability to pass the ball to one of our players, in the times I have seen him it has seemed that he is a little lightweight in this division.
Agreed. Did he ever become able to win against a defender who matched him for speed? It seems to me that there are very few players in the English game that have his physical build.
A name who often did well against us .. Maybe can do on for us ? Still only 29 - shows how young he was when first started playing .
Apparently we're competing with Celtic for the signature of Xavier Mbuyamba - 21 year old Dutch centre back of FC Volendam. I suspect Celtic might win... https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport...celtic-transfer-news-bulletin-xavier-29986417
Keinan Davis on the cheap? On last season's evidence, he's certainly not worth the £15m we would have had to pay for him if promoted. Too slow, with the turning circle of QEII for my liking. https://the72.co.uk/2023/05/16/play...sold-on-the-cheap-this-summer-report-reveals/
Britt Assombalonga is set to leave Watford when his short-term deal expires next month. Leandro Bacuna, who joined in January, also expected to depart Vicarage Road
The big surprise is Assombalonga - Rangers are apparently keen on signing him. Which doesn't quite tie in with what Michael Beale was saying yesterday on the radio - he is looking to sign quality strikers to help close the gap between them and Celtic.
Yes - not sure he would get goals there but then it is Scotland so might be easier? Actually what will happen is Britt will go somewhere and get goals then fans will complain about us letting him go.
