On Timeform ratings there are 28 within 10lbs of the top rated. When you consider how much ground can be won or lost at any fence or even before the first, how much further some race than others, some jockeys are better horsemen than others when it comes to big fences, some horses will be staying on stronger than others over distances and/or fences they may not have encountered before, and the fact that some, if not all have been brought along with this race in mind, 10lbs on ratings (based on what horses have achieved, not necessarily what they will be capable of on the day) counts for very little. There are also some not far off that 10lb below the top rated. So, basically, most have a good chance of getting placed. You can start ruling out some that are unlikely to be staying on at the finish but it will leave you with literally loads of horses in with a very good chance. I don't think the GN is a betting race any more; it's more of let's see if we can pick a few that might give us a run for our money Good luck to anyone who has a dabble
Top 3 each way picks for tomorrow please Ronaldo? I have £14 that I won yesterday for a Free bet my 12 year old boy chose so he and my 6 year old gets to choose a horsey too £3 each I'm going balls deep £4 e/w . Your credibility is at stake Sir
I put up a 100/1 shot and a 80/1 shot earlier but I think those odds may have gone now. In fact it looks like Easysland is a NR. Didn't look well handicapped given his form since his impressive Cheltenham win 2 years ago. Reckoned then he was worth an interest for a GN in 2 to 3 years. Will be looking for him with a lower weight next year. That just leaves me with Blaklion, now best priced 66/1. I would have Any Second Now in short list of 3 and for the 3rd choice I think Santini might do OK at 66/1. Cloth Cap looks interesting having looked to have a good chance last year but one would be banking on the fitting of a tongue strap doing the trick after disappointing efforts. Difficult to see why he is carrying more than last year Edit PS I didn't realise I had any credibility
Justin Thomas went out to 230 after day 1, back down to 14, madness tempted to cash out for my money back as Sheffler looks to be rolling and JT is a lunatic, just birdied 3 in a row but that shocker of a first day surely too much to overcome please log in to view this image
I've bumped into a few Irish lads tonight in Liverpool and they've given me a horse in the race before the National. It was pulled out of Cheltenham to win this...
Just say you ****ing drama queen. We took Ron's tip Blacklion Anys second now Snowleopardess Kidisart Fiddlerontheroof Top 6 5 horses might get something back
I made these last night and very tasty they were too. I even managed to make the sauce. https://chineserecipesforall.com/recipes/view/sweet-and-sour-chicken-balls
Blaklion ran wel, on the inside all round, but the ground wasn't as soft as expected and they went quite a pace and he from 3 out he wasn't going to get there and was eased off to finish down the field; at least he finished. A good effort for a 13yo. Any Second Now just got run out of it to finish second and Santini finished 4th (SP was only 33/1 though). Sorry I didn't get the winner. If Easysland gets in with 11 stone or less next year, that will be my pick
Very true. Wouldn't class myself as a tipper. Just like to provide an opinion in case anyone is interested. I don't bet by the way
