Impressive run from Doncaster Rovers to get them into the play off mix

 

Incredibly close in the BIG derby this evening with Brora Rangers edging it 1-0 over local rivals Wick Academy.

 

As this is the "other football" thread, watched a game streamed live yesterday afternoon - Indian Super League playoff between FC Goa and Mumbai City.

OK, you can laugh but forget the turgid stuff we've usually got to put up with, this was great entertainment in front of real enthusiastic fans.

If that was a Cardiff fan you could guarantee there'd be at least 5 stewards and a pair of police officers to keep an eye on things

Fair play to the guy though... Great fun to be there giving it some!!

 

Lovely second goal, two minutes into injury time, for Cardiff Ladies to beat Wrexham Ladies 2-0 in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final. Perhaps our men's team can have some of that energy next season?

 

This would help if they used it to moderate the behaviour of players.

Another case of playing catch up. The oval ball has had it for years. Interesting to hear dialogue between ref and players.

It is amusing. We're quite an eclectic mix in our dead end street. There are a couple Utd supporters. No need for me to wind them up as the Man City and Liverpool supporters do a good enough job.

Are they taking the proverbial?

Wrexham is a tinpot town even though it’s actually now a city with most of their catchment area being Liverpool or Man U fans.

In what world could they fill a 50,000 stadium

 

In the mind of a La La Ga Ga Hollywood celeb.

I suspect they are suggesting high but would probably settle for 25k. However life will get tougher as the start in a higher league. Let's see if they fill their present stadium once a few results go against them and they are mid table or lower.
