looking at our next 5 games I can't see us getting a solitary point, this is going to be very very painful and will surely bring an end one way or another to this sorry saga that has dragged on and on; Reading (H) Villa (A) Brighton (A) Leeds (H) Norwich (A) I cannot see any positives at all unless the 6 newbees have hidden talents that will shake football
I think the two home games will be crucial - and probably the only realistic chance of getting 3 points - but on the other hand, we could get tonked in all five. I have a feeling MM will go extremely defensive now until we are safe (IF), especially after last nights debacle. Prepare to see plenty of 0-0, 1-0 and 1-1's. Out of those five, i'll go with 5 points (beat Leeds, draw with Reading and Villa)
Most importantly we have to play all of: Cardiff (A) Burton (A) Rotherham (A) Forest (A) Wigan (H) These are the ones where we need to get a majority of wins, as if we don't we probably don't deserve to stay up
A decent manager would be making plans to try to win these games, but you just know McCarty will set us up to stifle the opposition, hope to not lose and get a spawny goal on the break. No doubt we'll be treated to more games like Lincoln away where we had 7 strung out across the pitch and absolutely not intention of trying to attack, grrrr!
As much as I hate to say it, I'd rather we continue losing. I'm bored of a decent win every month or two followed by the usual crap. It's the only way I can see change happening. Worst case scenario is we finish around 12th with another dull season to follow.
