I read the article and comments 6 points from where the other day and got me to thinking if that's what the manager thinks we need to be safe where are the teams around us going to get their points from to reach that points tally. If we accept 35 points to be the magic number (although personally I think it will be less) this is the position for the clubs fighting relegation.

Villa 32 points 5 games left require 3 points
    Fixtures
    Man City A
    Everton H
    WHU H
    Southampton A
    Burnley H

Potentially points from WHU and Burnley not sure about other games and if they lose to City and Everton minds on Cup and final match against Burnley

Hull 28 points 6 games left require 7 points
    Fixtures
    Crystal Palace A
    Liverpool H
    Arsenal H
    Burnley H
    Tottenham A
    Man Utd H
3 games in a row at home. Not easy to win. Some tough matches ahead

Leicester 28 points 6 games left require 7 points
    Fixtures
    Burnley A
    Chelsea H
    Newcastle H
    Southampton H
    Sunderland A
    QPR H
Like Hull 3 homes in a row not easy to win. Crucial games against Burnley us and QPR. Next two games crucial.

QPR 26 points 5 games left require 9 points
    Fixtures
    West Ham H
    Liverppol A
    Man City A
    Newcastle H
    Leicester A
Could see them picking up something from West Ham and Newcastle but cant see them getting 9 points.

Burnley 26 points 5 games left require 9 points
    Fixtures
    Leicester H
    West Ham A
    Hull A
    Stoke H
    Aston Villa A
Crucial game today. Need 3 points which would help us. Massive games against Hull and Villa. Can't see them getting 9 points but could have a big influence on who goes down.

For me think Burnley and QPR will go down. Then between Hull and Leicester with Villa still a dark horse to go down. Somehow think we will be safe. Thoughts

    um points total is immaterial.
    what matters is position.

but saying that a team needs x amount of points to stay up, that seems a strange comment, say that all the teams below you draw the next 3 games and you win 1 and lose 2.. There are too many variables to say how many points are necessary.

It just predictions fella. It's not strange, virtually every fan of every relegation team will be trying to work out the points total each team could need. Every 'expert' from every media outlet is doing the same. The twist and turns mean no one can know for sure. But people will look at their remaining games and try to work out where the point will come from. Just a fact of footballing life. We have a prediction league. A game, is that wrong too? Or just a bit of harmless pondering? I see 6 points max in our remaining games. Most likely 5. Will it be enough? **** knows, we'll have to wait and see.

Good win for you yesterday fella btw<ok>

Think a draw would be best for us. That's the bit I struggle with to be honest fella. Easier to predict our own points tally. What other teams are going to do is very tough. Form table is bizarre viewing to say the least.
