    A message to all supporters....

As we are sure you are all aware, the fixture list wasn’t kind to us throwing up two long away trips in under a week. First up was the longer of the two trips as the squad travelled up to Victoria Park to take on Darrell Clarke’s former side Hartlepool United. The distance from ground to ground was a staggering 270 miles and 190 supporters made the long trip north to see a 0-3 win thanks to goals from Matty Taylor, Billy Bodin and Jermaine Easter. 540 miles covered.

Up next was the visit to the Globe Arena to take on Jim Bentley’s Morecambe. This trip was shorter, 213 miles from ground to ground and Rovers returned with another three points thanks to goals from Lee Mansell, Billy Bodin, Matty Taylor and Ellis Harrison in a seven-goal thriller. 966 miles in one week.

This took the weeks traveling to 966 miles and everyone at the club would like to thank any supporter who made either trip. Bristol Rovers Chairman Nick Higgs commented:
“It shows what an amazing following and fan base this club has. The number of miles the team have covered this week has been staggering and our supporters have been there in fantastic numbers for both games. Our supporters are a real credit to this football club are we are glad the team could reward them with six points.”
