    The idea that Spook was the problem with that thread and the reason it was locked is ludicrous.

    The thread is still there to be seen. It is quite obvious that the problem was caused by yobbish bullyboys acting like a lynch mob.

    Don't get reproductions. Get an original M48 or M51 for about £600.

    Some of us wish we had hung on to a lot of the original 60s stuff. Never guessed that decades later people would be going round imitating mod stuff. And often getting it wrong.

    An average one will cost you £150 and you can go up to £400 for a fully reconditioned mint one.

    If you rubbish the media as racist, the armed forces as the most villainous in the world, the monarchy as ****s, the police as henchmen of a corrupt state etc, all in a broadbrush, one size fits all way, you have to expect some comeback.

    Got an M48, two M51s, about a dozen M65s plus a Vespa and a pretty neat record collection. I was djing and dancing till 2:30 lastnight/this morning and made it to work for 9:00 am start. Not bad for an old git. Been a mod since about 1967.

    China is the best source for these things. There's a bit of a mod scene but not very big, Japan has a big one, as does Thailand.
