It was Barry who clattered Ian Ashbee, Easter Monday, Villa Park. I think that tackle finished Ashbee.
No he wasn't. He didn't even get subbed off. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7844583.stm
You are right, after the game it was said it is not the same knee he injured before, he will be out for 10 days or so. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/bullard-in-knee-injury-scare-1544646.html
6ft in the air I assumed you were mixing up claret and blue kits, he was carried off in tears at Villa Park.
I don't google to pretend I was there. I was there in person. There's a lot of that on these forums. Everyone was there all their lives. Just look on google there's the proof.
I remember it all so well cos I was told on the day he signed from someone very well placed with no reason to lie that it was a massive mistake cos his knee was ****ed and he already had an appointment with his Dr in America booked in for a few weeks time. Are you telling me it's a coincidence he was in a rather innocuous challenge then a few weeks later he's flying out to the US and he's out for the season? There was no hindsight involved, I was told all this in advance.
No, I just remember he wasn't kicked 6ft in the air cos Chuck Norris wasn't playing for West Ham at the time.
Scott Parker must have not liked Bullard, he also dislocated his knee with a terrible tackle when Bullard was at Fulham. I was on the back row at that West Ham game, couldn't see a bloody thing, it was like watching from inside a post box.
I read Bullard's book not long ago. It's an interesting take on things whether you like him or not. If I remember rightly he doesn't blame Parker for either tackle. The second one, on his debut for us, wasn't even a foul from what he said. He says he just sort of rode the tackle, slipped across the turf a bit and somehow knackered his knee.
