So Abel basically confirming it as well as some bloke on Twitter (although he was probably guessing since the club later reported they hadn't yet had the results), but the club haven't...
Who was it under Bruce who rather than operate straightaway we kept resting their Achilles for about 3 months and then just as they'd have been getting fit if they had the opp straightaway, we went and did the op anyway? Was it Jelavic?
Both Fryatt and Aluko had long-term achilles problems. Aluko was the one who kept almost coming back and then being out for longer.
Yeah think this was Fryatt actually. We took so long pissing about resting that it made the time out much worse.
Still not great. Desperately need reinforcements now. 6 months out, 6 weeks up to speed? Easter time return?
Totally pointless. He's managed 25 games in 3 years at Forest. Even pay as you play - he wouldn't accept a pay as you play deal as essentially he wouldn't get a game, and he'd be wasting a squad position. Seems laughable given we've got a number of shortages all over the pitch, but all the same - no.
Paying for his sticky toffee pudding at the training ground? I reckon the club will sanction it if they can recoup another £5m in sales.
I guess slightly better news he is out for 6 months rather than 8, but even so, if he does get back in 6 months, he will not be at his best for the remainder of the season.
I really liked Fryatt as a player but as for signing him again now , surely we aren't that deperate (yet)
