Will Axl Rose's appointment be a success or the end of the band?

The Band has done well to continue after the death of Bon Scott but Brian has done an admirable job. With Brian out and Malcolm in a nursing home they will be 'going through the motions' with Axl leading the outfit. Rehearsals are reported to have been excellent with Axl doing a mighty job up front. They should come through with the crowd OK but it is now the beginning of the end for me.

Never the same after Bon Scott's death although Brian Johnson was OK. I don't rate Axl Rose, and don't think his vocal style fits AC/DC's music. It's the beginning of the end.

Hell's Bells, what a question. On the one hand if you want blood, then you've got it with this appointment. On the other hand it looks like a dirty deed done dirt cheap to me.

It's never a good idea alternating current band members.

Could you imagine the Stones without Mick or Keith? These sort of 'frontmen' are irreplaceable but all credit to Axl as he can certainly belt a song out (e.g. Sweet Child of Mine) but whether he can adapt to AC/DC songs remains to be seen.

I think charging the same for a different lead, even if he is a live wire, will bring even the neutrals down to earth.

Fans will be hoping they can adaptor to this change. If they can still socket to them it's going to be electric.

haven't seen them for many a year. first time was at the Newcastle Uni Ballroom late '76 then several times over the next few years at The Mayfair. I have vivid memories of Bon Scott stripped to the waist with Angus on his shoulders belting out Let There Be Rock. Saw them a few times after that in inreasingly large venues. Never the same as seeing them in sweaty club.

Did they ever play in Hull?

Saw them in '09 in Orlando on my birthday! They were brilliant, I'm thinking of getting tickets for them in Manchester, it'll definitely be different!
Could also be the last chance to see them.

Likely to be some sparks, followed by resistance on the touring circuit if they charge too much.
