Fantastic news. Well deserved - and some consolation I suppose.

Fantastic, Great News, but no consolation (the wounds are not healed). I remember mowgli wanting Ainsworth out last season, the idiot <doh>.

So did a lot of other Wycombe fans during a run of 1 win in 17 league games. <doh>

I always had faith in Ainsworth because he had all the natural attributes required (as opposed to the experience and qualifications, which can be obtained).

It took me a lot longer than some to write ainsworth off, although I have to admit after the rovers defeat last season I couldn't see any other way forward - how wrong we were! This is a really well deserved award and hopefully this will work in our favour in terms of attracting and retaining players

I never said get him out, but I had resigned myself to conference football caused by his lack of experience. However I never thought we could get anyone better and I liked his enthusiasm, so best to stick with him and boy I am glad we did. Well done Gaz and his team.
