Nice...hope it means the preponderance of evidence is in his favor. He'll come back with purpose, I would suspect.
http://m.sunderlandecho.com/news/lo...il-extended-over-underage-sex-claim-1-7162759 Sunderland lift Adam Johnson’s suspension after bail extended over underage sex claim
A club statement said: “The club has discussed the current position in detail with both the PFA (Professional Footballers Association) and Adam’s representatives. “In line with those discussions we recognise that the player is entitled to re-commence his duties with the club while the legal process continues. “He will therefore return to training. “The club’s own investigation cannot continue until the conclusion of the legal process.
Not very pleasant and remember your talking about a 15 year old kid here - The lifting of the suspension has nothing to do with the police investigation its purely between the player/PFA and the club as he is an employee who has not been found guilty of anything to date. He may not be played unless/until he has been cleared but it is in the clubs interest to keep him fit and ready for when/if that day arrives. IMO
Well he is innocent until proven guilty and this seems very sensible. I hope he doesn't get too much abuse from other fans but he almost certainly will and I worry it may become one of the more notable feature of the derby.
The club wouldn't of did this if he was going to get found guilty would they. Can't stand money grabbing bitches.
"A Durham police spokesperson said: "Sunderland AFC informed us this morning of their decision, which of course is a matter entirely for the club. The police investigation remains very much live and ongoing and a man remains on bail while enquiries continue." I am leaving this now as I do not wish to be involved with your "discussion"
I'd be amazed if they knew whether he was going to be found guilty or not. Plus where has she made money out of this, am I missing something?
See : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31940379 "He will be available to play for new manager Dick Advocaat this weekend."
This looks to be a purely footballing decision with the police investigation and possible case against him not having any bearing on it ie. it means **** all in terms of his guilt or innocence. Hopefully he'll be in the right frame of mind to play a big part in the remaining 9 games as we really need some of the creative spark he can provide, if he's not mentally sound at the minute (I wouldn't blame the lad if he isn't) then it's pointless putting him back in the team as opposition fans are going to tear into him and just put him in a worse state of mind.
