This signing and the Bony situation just about sums up the divide between "us and them". The elite clubs probably pay over the odds so they can overcome a short term problem and once the player is no longer what they need then clubs like ours have to help cover their wages just to have a loan. We will never match the wages the big boys pay so have to be grateful for what they release.

I would love to see the loan system scrapped altogether forcing the bigger clubs to be a bit more circumspect about their signings.

 

Scrap the loan system and it will stunt our youngsters though. I could get on board with under 23 loans only.
