I knew they would get a penalty today and Rooney would score, typical isn't it, but what happened and why was Brown sent off ! And to add to this the ref did not even see it as a penalty in the first place !, if he did know who it was, he did not see anything then.
Basically the ref cant tell the difference between black and white, which means he guessed it was a penalty
Rooney hadn't scored for nine games and had never gone ten games without scoring so it was time to play us. Brown was sent off for an O'Shea foul.
it was a foul and a penalty, the cock up is brown going and O'Shea staying on. didn't expect much from todays game, but im still disappointed
Was a penalty though, and a sending off. Just shouldn't have been Brown. Wish JoS would stop these suicide fouls. I'd rather be 1 down with 11 men than 1 down with 10. But yes, both the ref and linesman not knowing who commited the foul means they couldn't have seen if it was a penalty. Just guess work which is not the way they're supposed to officiate the game. These men should be nowhere near a football pitch. Bout time some lower league refs were given more top games becuase this roster is the worst the league has ever seen imo.
Top post and agree with all of the points raised, I also wish JOS would stop making these errors but it seems we just have to live with it. We must have a new central defensive combo next season if we are lucky enough to stay up again.
I'll be home about half 8, don't know why people bang on about man utds poor home support cos every time ive been in the Stretford end its been bouncing. Lot better then us at home. I even joined in with one, 'Van Gaal wherever you may be, you smoke weed in your country yet it could be worse you could be scouse, smoking crack in ya council house! ..... Class
Terry thus is monty man!! Definite penalty but the ref and linesman must have guessed as they sent off a player who didn't commit a foul! The brown red card is good for us as we can appeal as he sent off the incorrect player. This is much like the arsenal one where ox and someone else got confused and they successfully appealed the red card. Their incorrect player was not banned so brown should be available on Tuesday as should oshea
I've just said the same thing in the match thread mate. Ref is saying they both committed a foul by the looks of it, trying to weasel his way out of it instead of admitting he was wrong. Either way, the ref got it wrong but didn't ruin the game thankfully.
