or have we pretty much all written it off?

I think I have written it off, but strangely, I would like to keep Moyes in place, I'm sure he would get us straight back up.

Personally, I think we're ****ed & I lay the blame squarely at Short's door for surrounding himself with complete ****wits.
Keep Big Davy though, he'll get us back up.

We were as good as West Ham yesterday and with a little luck could have beaten them. We were still poor, and the service to Defoe was woeful. West Ham have been poor and have found some points from somewhere- when we get some players back from injury, we might start doing the same.

I've had it with Moyes now. If we'd been quicker to close West Ham down yesterday, given them less time on the ball we could have got something from that. Its Moyes that has to tell them to do that. Also, he played for the draw in the last 10-15. If we'd gone for the jugular we could have got somewhere- they certainly didn't look threatening on the break. I think the bloke looks like he's beaten before he starts. We should probably hang on to him for the stability but I wish we'd never appointed him.

Cannot see us stopping up with defending like that. I think it was motd that showed we have lost 5 points in 4 games by conceeding goals after the 85th minute and when you think we have only played 9 games in total <doh>

Think we're headed down but would be keeping the manager at all costs.

Chopping and changing is bringing failure after failure.

Think Moyes won't last the season though. Fans will get on his back and short will axe him. We'll go down regardless.

I've seen nothing from Moyes' interviews or teams that suggest we'd come straight back up, he is a Howard Wilkinson size mistake. Our only hope is a bored billionaire with a love of cheesy chips and women with nee teeth as that's all we bring to the table right now

Think it's pretty self explanatory. A light hearted jibe at our city. Which I'm more than entitled too. However if your one of these people who looks for things to be offended by on the internet it's a juicy morsel for you to suck on

I also listed cheesy chips like its a major export, things don't have to make perfect sense in humour. Also I'm sure your lass is a classy lady and much like any decent bird in Sunderland has a other half so we can only really offer the rotters to our prospective new owners

Our football this season has been terrible.
Stoke last week being the worst for me and Moyes thinks we did ok. Yesterday the first 20mins was aweful then we took the game to them but with no end product. Defoe must be going nuts he is never going do anything against 6ft plus defenders in the air. Moyes then put on another defender to try and take home a point with 15mins to go. We are not man marking and the forwards are killing us. If west ham had a decent forward up front yesterday instead of Zaza it could have been 3-0

I'm sorry I know it's another change and its only my opinion but I say if we can bring big Sam back do it and do it now.

I think it will depend on returning injured players and wether they will have the effect of a good signing. No point in relying on January transfers, as anyone good enough to suddenly get us wins is not going to be interested in signing if we are still peering so far up from bottom.
It's also up to Moyes as manager to drum into these professionals some basics -- defending, responsibilities, closing down.

Does anybody seriously think Allardyce returning is a genuine solution or possibility?

Nope. For what it's worth I think Moyes should stay.
