<laugh><laugh> They are so wound up ahead of this fixture. On a serious note though, they are in awful form and we have a huge opportunity to make the semi-finals. It won't be easy at all, and they still have lots of quality in that side, but we'll never get a better chance to best Bayern than this.

Xhaka joining Leverkusen to win a domestic double after Bayern’s 11 years of straight dominance, Arsenal winning the league/CL and Kane joining Bayern and finishing potless in his first season.

My god, if this ever happened, I would talk about it for YEARS to come <laugh>

Oh, imagine my shock. Their players who were 'a doubt' for the Arsenal game all magically in training ahead of the Arsenal tie.

As I said before, I know they're struggling domestically, but they still have so much quality in their side. This is also their last opportunity for silverware. They'll be going all out for this. And Tuchel is a master of being the underdog when the chips are down. We need to be on it.

Looks like we have our entire squad available for this match.

Doubt Arteta will risk Timber just yet but theoretically we have every player available for selection for the first time this Season.

Lots of Arsenal fans seem to want Partey to start today but honestly I think we need to stick with Jorginho, Rice and Odegaard as our midfield for this one.

    HT. 1-2.

After such a good and energetic start, we fell into the trap of trying to push too high and not respecting their threats on the counter. Every time Bayern have ventured into our half, they look like scoring.

Gabriel and Saliba have been phenomenal all season, but they’ve both been unusually rash and jittery today. They’re letting the occasion get to them.

Kiwior has always been ran ragged by Sane, he keeps letting him goal side.

Jorginho has been a great player for us, but his lack of athleticism and power is a serious problem in a game like this. We need more athleticism and press resistance in the middle. I’d consider bringing Partey on.

We’ve dominated the ball, had some good chances and played some good stuff, but it counts for nothing when you don’t take your chances and defend so utterly naively.

We need to relax and make sure the game doesn’t get away from us. Bayern have lethal players on the counter.

Both their goals came from weird defensive mistakes.

Need to just keep things tight - not sure why both Gabriel and Saliba keep going up together.

Kane should be off for that elbow on Gabriel. He looked at where he was and deliberately hits him in the face. No way they’re going to send golden boy off, though.

This has been a poor second half honestly. No energy or belief in what we’re doing. Complete contrast to the first half. If we don’t get an equaliser, I think we have an uphill battle to turn this around in the second leg.

Jesus should always play in the UCL.

He comes alive in this tournament.

    That's a penalty without a doubt.

When you look at the standard of what penalties have been given for, that is a penalty. Neuer’s face said it all. He was expecting it to be given.
