Norwich picked up a valuable three points after going a goal down to Cardiff against the run of play ending up winning 4-1. They now travel to Blackburn who recently changed their manager with John Eustace now in charge. So after the mid-week games the table begins to take more shape with all teams at the top half having played 33 times. Therefore Norwich sit 8th 3 points behind 6th placed Hull, however there is a very juicy early kickoff on Saturday where Hull host West Brom who are 5th and one place better off. So there is an opportunity to close the gap on the playoff places with a win at Ewood Park. Blackburn sit lower mid table Sammie Szmodics is a massive threat though as the attacking midfielder is currently top scorer in the league and is potentially going to start as striker for them with Rovers first choice currently out. I haven't found further information on Norwich injuries, Sargent will still have his game time managed, but is currently averaging over 1 goal/ 90 mins played. I imagine Duffy is still out and Nor sure whether Gibson will be back in the team. Rowe will certainly be out for the next few games. Form: Blackburn DDLWL Norwich WWDWL
Blackburn drew 0-0 at Cardiff last night after managing only 1 shot on target out of 4 attempts, but they do have the league's leading scorer in CAM Sammie Szmodics with 18 goals in 31 games. Their usual striker, Leonard, is injured though, so Szmodics may play up front.
From Wagner's press conference this afternoon: Ben Gibson fit and available after missing the 4-1 win over Cardiff City with illness No fitness concerns from those on duty against the Bluebirds ahead of a final training session tomorrow; he did, though, say Ashley Barnes had shown signs of fatigue Josh Sargent has had a good week but will continue to be monitored on a weekly basis as he recovers fully from his ankle lay-off Shane Duffy (calf) targeting the Rotherham fixture (March 9) for his return Confirmed Jon Rowe ruled out for the best part of two months despite no surgery being required
