Fair point - I forget about the international reach of Hull City. And if you are indeed on a tropical island in the Pacific, or aus/nz then good morning
No jollies. Just bafflement as to the connection between what clubs have done in the FACup decades ago and the League Cup in the present age.
Quoting what happened in the FA Cup? The relevance of that to the League Cup is? You quoted Newcastle.'s FA Cup record. Their last FA Cup Win was 60 years ago, years before the League Cup had even started. You could of course quoted underdogs who have won the league cup, though most of those were a while back.
CC, My last line says it all. It's a ****ing cup game. Anything can happen. Screw history. We are probably the worst team left in this cup competition, based on the FAC history of the others....and current form this season too. That's all. It's another cup competition, agreed, but it's a ****ing cup competition where owt can happen. That's all my point was. There's no relevance to anything ...it was meant to be a light-hearted suggestion that we have a chance. See my other post #267 . "Best draw we could get. They'll be concentrating on their promotion drive & put out their reserves to keep the young 'uns interested. 1-3 Newcastle " "Historically, in the FA Cup, we have the worst FA Cup record of any team left in the competition. Historically, Newcastle are the 3rd best ever team in making appearances in the final and subsequently winning the trophy. The FA cup can conjure up some shocks ( Wigan 1-0 Everton). The year of the underdog I'd say. **** history "
Just odd you chose a bunch of stats and examples related to the FA Cup. E.g. Why does it matter we have the worst FA Cup record of the teams left in the League Cup?
Calm down, I was just explaining why others were questioning it. I was confused by it too. There was no logic to it. Just admit you got your wires crossed about the Cup competition.
I did not get my wires crossed on the cup competition. I just used historical FAC stats to point out that we, like any other team, have a chance that can defy historical tradition as it's a one game situation (Leeds vs Norwich last night - history vs form), Wigan vs Everton (shock). Read my previous posts again. You may get it eventually. PS Lets not bore the **** out of a those slumbering due to time zones as we have done before, there's a good chap.
I'm not sure you could have missed it Filey. Tiger Travel users are widely regarded as flaskers and bus ****ers.
Cheeky Gits. I know at least one TT user who never sits down at games and makes plenty of noise. whats more I dont even own a flask.
