Putting this up early as no doubt some will be going on holiday and they really don't want to miss out on this highlight ....... Yes folks it's that time of year again and we are back with all the games that matter, it really is a marathon with a minimum of 48 games..... Anyway same rules as last season - Correct result and score - 5 points Correct Result - 2 points Correct Goal Scorers - 1 point New Bonus for this season - Correct QPR Score but not exact result - 1 point. eg predict the R's to win 2-0 but they win 2-1 = 1 bonus point as predicted the R's would score twice.....simples. Please keep predictions within reason, no ludicrous scores like for example 7-6 and if you change your mind please edit your original post..... Right we kick off at the Valley Saturday week , still none the wiser as to what the side will look like and would happily take a 2-2 draw a better result than when we were last there. Austin and Loungo for the R's, haven't a clue who'll score for them..... Up the R's Edit... forgot to say if anyone is away and prediction thread has not been posted you can PM me with your predictions....
Don't think so Swordsie, correct result but not exact score is worth 2 points....this is a bonus for getting the R's score correct but not the correct result... eg... R's predicted to win 2-0 but actually win 2-1....you get 2 points for correct result and a bonus for predicting the R's would score 2. If the result was say 3-1 you would only get 2 points for correct result.
The day we announce our intent to the rest of the league. Charlton 0 QPR 5 Austin (3) Austin (47) Phillips (66) Chery (81) Chery (89)
Tramore - this thread is a bit of a shock and a true reality check that the season proper is about to start! The issue is that it is extremely difficult to predict a result if you really do not have the feintest idea on the available players, not to mention the formation, tactics or form. A more appropriate competition for this first match would be a "guess the first eleven" with a "point for the correct player". I wonder how many people today would score more than 7? Anyway, here is goes: Charlton 1-2 QPR Scorers: Charlton: Vetokele QPR: Austin, Chery
